When you stay in a hotel, there are plenty of perks: 24-hour room service, clean sheets, and ample room to play elevator tag. Even better, some hotels sweeten your stay with a stash of luxurious—and free!—bath products, the kind that call your name after a long flight of battling with your seatmate for armrest supremacy. Here, we’ve rounded up five of our favorite hotels that have upped their glam factor with spa-worthy shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and more.
NYC Chatwal: At this swanky midtown Manhattan hotel, you’ll find 1930s Art Deco glamour and a slew of designer goods in the bathroom. Asprey, a London-based luxury goods company, was specially commissioned by the hotel to create a bath line. Guests get to enjoy products like Asprey Purple Water shampoo, conditioner, and body wash with spicy citrus notes. Bonus: nightly turndown, includes Asprey-scented towelettes and a bottle of Fiji water.
W Hotel: Located southeast of Central Park, the W Hotel is known for its stellar location and skyline views. If you book a room for the night, you’ll also notice miniature versions of products from the well-known Bliss spa chain on the countertops in the bathroom. You can get more of your Bliss fix in the on-site Bliss49 spa, voted “Best Hotel Spa” by Allure Magazine in 2005.
The Peninsula: Check into this luxury Windy City spot and you’ll have access to products developed exclusively for The Peninsula hotel group by a family of winemakers in Napa Valley. The Davi collection includes bar soaps, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion made from fermented grape extracts. And the stuff is seriously luxe; a regular-size jar of Davi eye cream goes for $125.
The Clift: Tucked away in San Francisco’s Lower Nob Hill neighborhood, The Clift Hotel offers a nice touch in the form of Malin+Goetz grooming goodies. The eponymous NYC-based apothecary is loved for its natural herb- and oil- based beauty line; here you get a taste with peppermint shampoo, cilantro conditioner, and rum soap.
Sunset Tower: The Hollywood-glam Sunset Tower provides its guests with travel-size Kiehl’s products, including amino acid shampoo and conditioner, grapefruit body lotion, and coriander body wash. The skincare line began as an apothecary in New York’s East Village in 1851; they’re still committed to using botanical extracts in their products today.
