Beauties, given the option, would you freeze your fat away without any pain, needles or surgery? Non-surgical cooling and freezing techniques that rid you of your fat are becoming increasingly popular and are known to produce excellent results. Procedures such as Zeltiq, a gel patch placed on your problem area that freezes fat cells (causing them to self-destruct), have been highly successful. And now there's a new kid on the block- CoolSculpting. Similar in technology to Zeltiq, this non-surgical body contouring procedure uses controlled cooling to reduce fat deposits. A cold compress that looks almost like a tool belt is applied to the problem area and your body's natural cleansing processes remove the damaged fat cells, resulting in safe, gradual fat reduction. It is FDA approved and requires no incisions, anesthesia, pain medication or downtime. Patients can typically see results three weeks after treatments.
"CoolSculpting can be an excellent option to traditional liposuction," says Dr. Grant Stevens, a Los Angeles-based board certified plastic surgeon. "It's ideal for men and women who are at or near their target weight but continue to experience fat deposits on their flanks and love handles." Although the method does not offer the same extensive fat loss as traditional liposuction, it's a great alternative for those people who don't want to go under the knife. Each session costs $750-$1500 per treatment and area.
Beauties, would you try this slimming shortcut or are diet and exercise more your style?

I dont agree with this. I believe that going to gym and eating healthy pays off :)

I agree with Brianna V. there's no point in cutting/freezing/shocking/magical-fairy-dusting your fat away, if the problem is one of habit and you're just going to gain it all back. However, if you've made significant changes to your lifestyle and just can't get rid of those lovehandles, with a little more research I'd support it.

Some of us have hereditary patterns of fat and no amount of excercise works! I will for sure try this. I am against cutting out body parts, that's just scarey! Saving now!

Something important to note with this procedure: the only way to LOSE fat cells is through liposuction. This procedure will just shrink your existing fat cells. I would never do this - 1. because I like the challenge of working out and maintaining my weight and 2. anything this "easy" is bound not to work long term, or have hidden consequences.

Can there be an in-between option for this? It seems good, but like all things can be abused in the quest for beauty. Where is the line of responsibility?

A friend of mine who worked out with a trainer and did Pilates tried Zeltiq a year ago. After having her two kids, she just always had a little tummy fat that wouldn't go away. She said Zeltiq was more painful that she thought it would be (she felt sore for two weeks after) but the results were miraculous!

I really think it depends. As someone trying to lose weight, this "short cut" sounds glorious (except for the price), HOWEVER, if you use this as your weight loss method, odds are it won't last...so then my answer is no.
Now say you've reached your fabulous goal weight, but you just have some areas that need extra attention. I'd say go for it.

I couldn't do it this. Just get to the gym and eat less/better food—it's simple, you've just got to do it!

If it was cheaper I would try it. I know that I have been dieting on and off for years and there is nothing worse then getting to your goal weight but still looks jiggly.
