Makeup artist James Kaliardos was inspired by the pastoral beauty of prairie girls during dawn and dusk. “The look is a stormy, sunset inspired eye of pale yellow, caramel, and a touch of lavender,” says Kaliardos.
FACE NYFW Fall 2011: MAC at Rodarte
Kaliardos blended MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer sparingly over hydrated skin for a natural finish, and swept MAC Sculpting Powder in ‘Pro Bone/Beige’ under the cheekbones for subtle contour.
EYES NYFW Fall 2011: MAC at Rodarte
Kaliardos blended MAC Pro Longwear Concealer over the eyelid and throw the lower lashes, and diffused MAC Eye Shadow in ‘Crystal’ through the crease for a lavender contour. Pre-mixing MAC Cream Color Base in ‘Pro Nude’ and ‘Pro Yellow’, Kaliardos blended these shades over the browbone. He applied MAC Studio Finish Concealer in ‘NC45′ with a brush to lighten brows and lashes.
He blended MAC Eye Shadow in ‘Soba’ through the inner arch of the brows for added fullness and warmth, and finished the eyes by brightening them with MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in ‘NC15′ on the waterline.
LIPS NYFW Fall 2011: MAC at Rodarte
Kaliardos blotted MAC Pro Dim Lip Erase over lips to take down their natural color, and applied MAC Lipstick in ‘Photo’ over the entire lip for a shade of burnt caramel.
