
In the makeup design, makeup artist James Kaliardos wanted to evoke a strong and empowered modern woman. “Think Gloria Vanderbilt and Diana Vreeland…” says Kaliardos, “she’s an independent American woman, well put together with panache…she’s glamorous, but anyone can do this.”
FACE NYFW Fall 2011: MAC at DVF
He blended MAC Studio Finish concealer where needed fo a natural finish on skin, and swept MAC Sculpting Powder in ‘Pro Bone/Beige’ under cheekbones for the perfect contour. Kaliardos blended MAC Cream Color Base in ‘Seaside’ (available autumn/winter 2011) above cheekbones for a luminescent highlight.
EYES NYFW FALL 2011: MAC AT DVF
Kaliardos applied MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadow in ‘Keep Your Cool’ as a smoky liner through the outer upper and lower lash line, elongating the eyes with a lift. He then applied MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in NC15 along the waterline of the lower lashes for a brightening effect.
LIPS NYFW FALL 2011: MAC AT DVF
Kaliardos applied MAC Lipstick in ‘Runway Red’ (available autumn/winter 2011) over the entire lip and defined with MAC Lip Pencil in ‘Cherry’.
