OXYGEN INFUSION FACIALS
To celebrate the launch of Intraceuticals treatment and products at The Sports Club/LA San Francisco--a gorgeous fitness club with beautiful amenities, Beautylish was invited to try out the celebrity-famous Oxygen Infusion Facial that Madonna swears by. Not sure what Intraceuticals or Oxygen Infusion Facials are? Here's the scoop.
The Oxygen Infusion Treatment uses hyperbaric pressure (greater than 1 atmosphere of pressure, essentially denser oxygen) to infuse this special version of Hyaluronic Acid Serum into the deep layers of the skin, resulting in plumper, firmer, and glowing skin. Don't be fooled by other companies saying that their Oxygen treatment is the same! This is the exact treatment that Madonna uses for her skin, especially while on tour!
With so many "Oxygen Facials" on the market, it's hard to tell who truly uses innovative technology. Meet Intraceuticals, an Australian based skincare line that is brightening and refining the skin of its world-class celebrity clientele (and you!) This skincare line uses a low molecular weight of Hyaluronic Acid to penetrate the skin more effectively.
What on earth does that mean, you ask? Very simple.
Hyaluronic Acid is a cell lubricant and catalyst which creates new cells in the skin and holds moisture. Basically, it's essential for hydrating our skin from inside out. A low molecular weight means that it penetrates the skin better. Molecules are smaller, thus increasing their ability to get in your skin and hydrate more effectively.
Deirdre from the Intraceuticals team took me into a zen space where I nestled myself on top of a warmed bed. Using the Clarisonic brush, she clean all the extra debris off my face. Using products from the Rejuvenate line, she infused the serum into my skin using hyperbaric pressure--it felt like a relaxing wind blowing over my skin. Using "Hyaluronic Layering" process (layering products with different weights of Hyaluronic Acid to seal in skin's hydration), she applied the Hydration Gel and the Moisture Binding Cream. Deirdre only did half of my face so I could compare results and I was shocked--the side with the facial looked plumper, hydrated, lifted, and clarified! Retailing at $189, the seurm is quite expensive--Beautylish recommends it for mature beauties looking for a strong product (we wouldn't recommend this for women under 30--it's a bit too harsh for daily usage).
