Nice product.

I got this in a set that also included the almost lipstick in Honey and the almost makeup in Neutral. All three products work really well together to give me a slightly more awake, yet still natural look. The power is heavier than you might expect so I apply it with a big brush instead of the applicator they include. The color, Light, is also a little too dark for my untanned face right now so I've been using it more like a bronzer.

It'll set your makeup...

and everything else in your room! I swear, there's a fine white powder on everything I own!... probably doesn't look right to anyone that doesn't do makeup all the time : O!

I have to say that while this is the "finest" powder I've used I still end up looking somewhat cakey, even when I don't use a ton. Instead of putting it all over my face I've scaled back to just my forehead, nose, and right below my lips (I sweat there- I know, it's weird- but it's true). Seems to keep my foundation in place longer than when I don't powder at all.

If chunky glitter is your thing...

then get ready to get excited. I have a few of these ranging from a frosty pink to a deep purple. The frosty, glittery colors are kind of chunky when you put them on, not smooth. If you're planning on layering like crazy then it doesn't really matter but it's hard to get a nice subtle look with the lighter shades. The darker shades are OK, nothing great. I picked them up at the Dollar Store so I'm really not about to complain to much!

I prefer these to the baked version.

These have a bit of a shimmer which is subtle and pretty. They're fairly pigmented and I always end up with a nice, rich color after a little building. I'd say they're pretty much on par with Mac eye shaddows when it comes to texture and color payoff.

Score!!

Finding a good, highly pigment black isn't that easy. Fortunately, Kat Von D puts on right in this palate for you. I use an eyeliner brush to set my liquid eyeliners with it all the time. I was shocked by the quality of these shades and their consistencies. Super silky and totally blendable.

The browns and golds are super rich with the lightest of the golds making a great highlighter. It also comes with an olive green and a brighter version, which don't get much use on my eyes, but are still very pretty.

Great base.

I have this in off-white (Posh) and it works really well as a base for my eye shaddow because it has no sparkle to it. I also use it as a powder highlighter for my cheekbones, along the bridge of my nose, and just under my eyebrows.

Super sparkly.

Unfortunately sometimes golden rose/sparkly can end up looking grey and not cute at all if you're layering it onto foundation. To avoid this just use a light hand if you're sporting full coverage that day.

I chose this prodcut over benefit's similar hue. The texture of this blush is super fine and blends nicely, especially on bare skin. It works well as an eyeshaddow too. It has just the right amount of gold in it to really pick up the light and give you that "glow."

Lasts forever.

I've had mine for quite a while now (which I'm sure makeup experts will say is gross and I should throw it away) but since I don't use it on my eyes or mouth I think it's OK.

This is a tricky product to use if you have acne. I use this product both with and without foundation on. When my face is clear I can get away with using it alone. But if you're mid-breakout and don't cover your blemishes the super pinky/red of this blush color is going to make your spots stand out more.

I put it on before I put my foundation on. I usually just leave my cheeks bare (of foundation) where the benetint was applied and just blend my makeup together gently so I don't have two pink circles on my face. Start in the middle of the benetint and use an outward sweeping motion to blend the lines.

If there's a blemish on my cheek where the tint is I use a tiny brush and dot it directly on the offending spot. Then I set everything with either translucent powder or blush, depending on how bright I want the look to be.

Great investment.

Everything in this kit, with the exception of the blush brush, is absolutely fantastic. The pigments are just heavy enough and have a silky texture, yet not crumbly like some finely pressed powders can be. The colors are perfect. I use the moonbeam as a eye shaddow base and the highbeam as a highlighter above my cheekbones, in my cupid's bow, and at the inner corners of my eyes. Just don't get it IN your eyes! Top it off with the bestselling (for a reason) badgal lash that comes in here.

The lip glosses have the best applicators too- something about the slight curve of the tip of the wand. The glosses are also smooth and not sticky at all. If the pink isn't giving you enough color payoff you can pat some blush on your lips first and then finish it off with the gloss. *just make sure you put the gloss on your finger and then apply so you don't pick up extra pigment and change the pretty pale color*

I love this kit and use it almost every day. Best part is how portable it is! I carry a small pot of Mac concealer along with this and I can literally make my entire face up with just these two things.

At least I didn't have to chuck it.

Well, not right away anyways. I DID finally have to throw this away after it started to get all chalky and fall apart. If you're used to using high end cosmetics don't expect to be wowed by any of the e.l.f. line. I managed to at least be able to use these colors (mostly as eye shaddow). The only product I still have and use from my e.l.f. purchase is a pencil eyeliner- surprisingly usable considering how poorly the rest of the products perform.
