Shu Uemura is premiering their eye shadow and blush collection in their summer "Creative Unlimited" collection, set to launch June 1st. The series includes 52 new shades of eye shadow and 23 shades of their popular "Glow On" blush, created with a fusion of deepsea water, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, and rich minerals.
The brand is reducing the amount of product in their eye shadows and blush from 2.1g to 1.5g and 4.5g to 2.3g, respectively, and will decrease their prices 20% to reflect the volume change. In addition to the standard eye shadow nomenclature (M, P, IR, and ME), Shu Uemura will introduce a microcrystalline glitter texture called "G".
In collaboration with famous Japanese architect Kumiko Inui, Shu Uemura is also re-vamping their modular palette system. Inspired by Japanese architectural joint systems and structures, the new palette system is designed to hold infinite combinations of eye shadow and blush in either white or black. According to Kumiko, the palettes use no glue or hazardous environmental adhesives. The empty compacts are sold in 1-pan, 2-pan, and 4-pan versions.
