First, Lauren Conrad's signature front braid style (circa The Hills) became a sensation, then the world was abuzz when Sienna Miller debuted her milkmaid crown at the 2007 Golden Globes. Four years later, the hairline plait trend is more popular than ever on red carpets, as Rihanna, Amy Adams, and Nina Dobrev have all stepped out with dramatic, face-framing versions. But this winter the fad has grown into supersized styles. Elle Fanning, Stacy Keibler, and model Mary Charteris all sported thick woven milkmaid effects at recent events. While Stacy’s and Elle’s braids have a textured headband feel, Mary’s placement across her forehead makes a bold statement.
Beauties, would you rock this halo of hair? Share your thoughts on the trend below!
