Beauty Product Reviews | Page 5

The greens were fairly nice, the purple sucked.

So i'm basing my opinion off Cool as a Cucumber since that's the only trio i've tried. The light green was really nice, the dark green was okay but the purple was ugh, awful. It was hardly pigmented and ended up looking muddy on me. I had to use a lot of product to get some decent color pay off. However this is a cheap product and I really like the brow bone color so i'd repurchase just for that. Hopefully my next experience with a trio will make up for this one.

I definitely wouldn't consider myself a lipstick expert, but when it comes to lipsticks, but I knew enough to steer away from drugstore brand. I saw a review of these babies, specifically for Divine, which is a bright fushia purple color and I got tempted to try it out. I loved it so much i bought more! This line is one of my top favorites, i love the range of colors and the staying power is awesome! Definitely planning on getting some more especially Spellbound, which is ALWAYS sold out :( my favorite would have to be Delight- which is now my go to nude. The color does tend to stain around the outer edge on me, so I do need to reapply after a few hours to keep the color even, and I don't find these lipsticks moisturizing as they claim. However, with that being said I still love these and the drawbacks aren't enough to deter me from making future purchases.

Colors are so pretty!

I picked up the mini bottles of this collection which included all the colors except Steady as she Rose and Mermaid's Tears. I think the colors are really pretty! I love the color pay off, i use two coats but one coat would do. I did buy Mermaid's Tears separately and i love the color it's beautiful! Definitely my favorite of the bunch. Skull & Glossbones is nice as well, i'm considering purchasing the full size of that one. The other colors are nice but easily duped and I personally wouldn't buy the full size. Stranger Tides is probably my least favorite, it's a muddy light green color and reminds me of a dirty fish tank LOL not too sexy in my opinion. I love the shattered effect! It spices things up! If you want more crackle apply less, if you want thicker crackle, apply more. My only cons are the price, I mean it's good quality and everything but $10 is a little pricey. I Like the black but to be honest, I feel like it's not as wearable, since i don't always want black accented nails. For me silver shatter substitutes as a more wearable option. But all in all i'm happy with my purchase, and the compliments i get on my nails aren't too shabby either :)

My HG Powder Foundation

When it comes to foundation, the goal is very simple: even out skin tone. So I don't need something that provides heavy coverage, but buildable coverage is always a great thing to have for those photo heavy events. My friends had been raving about Bareminerals foundation for a while so I decided to get my hands on one of the starter kits. When i first got my kit i got it in original formula but I got the wrong color (i like to think i'm darker than i really am), but sephora only had matte available in Fairly Light so i shelled out the extra bucks for this. This foundation really suites me, I like that it can go on sheer or medium depending on my hand when i apply it. Also the kit came with warmth, so when it's summer instead of going to buy a totally new shade (that's only gunna last me 3 months) i can just sprinkle some warmth and mix it to get my slightly tanner shade :) Definitely going to be repurchasing when i run out! However it will have to be in the original formula...i don't have oily skin so matte isnt necessary and i can't really give an accurate opinion on whether it controls oil or not :/ <3

EDIT: AFTER MONTHS OF USING THIS I've decided not to repurchase. I found that when I took a break from using this product for a few weeks and then went back to using it, it would break me out :( I don't break out easily and I'm not especially sensitive to products so this was really annoying. :(

I got the MSF about 3 or 4 years ago, and I really liked it a lot. From what i remember, it gave my skin a really nice soft, flawless glow. I liked that you could use it alone and to set foundation. I was really sad when i hit pan :(. I had been meaning to repurchase I just didn't get around to it because whenever i went to MAC i preferred to spend my money on eyeshadows, and then when I got the bareminerals kit it came with Mineral Veil so I didn't really need to repurchase. Will i repurchase? maybee. I've been eyeing MUFEs HD powder as of late, but i definitely would recommend it to my MAC purist friends :) or anyone who is looking for a good finishing powder from MAC

I just recently only got to try this out when I bought the Naked palette, and I really like it. Keeps shadows put, no creasing, color remains vibrant after hours of wear. It does what it claims. Definitely worth the money, I for one, am not turning back after my experience with this product.

Love love love!

This was my first taste of UDPP and I instantly fell in love. It works amazingly well. I love how it's not only a primer but more of a base too. It brings out any color, but especially the neutrals :) I have yet to experience any creasing for the past 6 months i've been using it. Definitely will be repurchasing and I highly recommend it. Personally, I like this one better than the regular UDPP, I feel it holds onto the shadows for longer. Either way I'm a complete convert to the UDPP cult ;) <3

I guess i just got the defective one?

I purchased Mint Sorbet, and although everyone seems to be raving about this polish, my experience was just awful. I really loved the color, but when i put it on it just was a complete miss for me.

Oh my goodness<33

I really love this liquid liner, it's so easy to use! The felt tip is wonderful, it's long and tapered so you can make thin/thick lines. I like that it's not flimsy where it makes a fuzzy ugly line, but it's not too stiff where it barely deposits the color. I love that it's good quality at a good price too :) I definitely recommend this to those of you who are looking for a good liner, and I will definitely be repurchasing (which will be soon cuz i use it almost every day) my only gripe, which was why i knocked off half a star, was that it doesn't dry very fast...so i'm having to keep my eye closed for like 30 seconds so it doesnt transfer on top my crease. But other than that, it works wonderfully!
