a bit pricey but AWESOME

Let me set up the scene: I was staying over at a friends last minute and she didn't have my standard makeup removal system. I was wearing a full smokey eye and had probably way too much concealer/ foundation, so I was dismayed when she handed me these wipes as a remover. One wipe, and DAMN! this wipe is probably the best wipe I've every used.. it cut through all my waterproof(!!) makeup with ease, and left my face feeling clean and fresh. I didn't have a cleanser to follow it with, but really didn't feel like I needed one to follow up with. Definitely a bit $$$, thus why sephora no longer carries this?, but the whole one step process is amazing. Skyn Iceland... where can I find you now?

necessary

I am completely anal about removing every trace of makeup from my face so as to not clog my pores/ irritate my skin. After I use my favourite clinique "take the day off" makeup remover, I like to get all the foundation/ concealer/ last traces of mascara and eyeliner off with this before cleansing and toning. Also, after a night of partying, I find that these wipes are great for quickly grabbing off the main parts of makeup before crashing into bed. What else.... price point: cheap. get it. got it. good.

best eye makeup remover

I am addicted to this remover and stock up on it! I highly recommend buying because it's the best!! It's oil based, and thus no tugging your delicate eyeskin. I usually put a couple dabs on a cotton pad and hold it over my eyemakeup for a couple seconds before swiping it across the lid. Even though it's more pricey than the neutrogena remover/ drugstore brand removers, you can buy it and get the free gift sets, and beauties, think: what is the cost of a wrinklefree face when you're 50? yeaaa... thought so.

skincare is key

Nothing is more important than skincare, IMHO, because your skin is the base for all makeup/ what you want to reveal!! This did add some moisture to my skin and helped my pores -- but I don't know if this is the best out there.... still searching but I'd recommend this as a great not-too-pricey start off in one's skincare routine if they're not sure where to start

great for the price

I bought this in two shades to blend so I can match my perfect shade (especially in the summer, when my colour changes after a session to the beach). I love how it's so affordable, and the coverage was good for small blemishes and dark circles, but as evidenced by my other photo -- not enough! I've since switched concealers... but stash this in my gym bag for a quick and affordable touchup.

No love for Asian Lashes

I Love playing up my eyes and framing them with full, fluttering lashes. I'd heard good things about Mally and was stoked to test out this mascara, but alas: my lashes fell down because of the thick formulation. Wonk Wonk. Miss.

cheap and great colours

I really really like rimmel. It's cheap, the colours are great, and kate moss endorses them (haha... I am such a sucker for marketing.) This palette has lasted me forever, and the shimmers are subtle (perfect for a subtle everyday "awake" look) and I like swiping the lightest shade under my eyebrow and right under my eyes to open them up a bit. Also, perfect for travelling. However.... I don't know if I'd buy the other shades (smoky noir for instance) because the shades do fade a bit over a course of the day, and I doubt the more intense colours could stand up to a full night of partying.

super shimmery

I love majolica products... so cute and it has the perfect amount of small sparkles for that subtle sheen that I love. This is just a drugstore makeup brand, so it's not too $$$, but it has great staywear. Oh Asian beauty brands.... infiltrate North America already!

great mascara

A great lengthening and plumping mascara... perfect for everyday use, and doesn't cause lashes to fall back down! I love how Asian mascaras "get" that our puny lashes can't stand up to some formulas. Also, love the adorable packing and comb brush (really separates every lash)

the best liquid liner in the world

I stock up on this liner whenever I'm in Asia... truly, it is goofproof since it has a penlike brush tip, it's smudgeproof, long-lasting, and cheap! It's also water resistant. It's been my secret weapon for the last 5 years and thats how much I love the beautylish community... you're welcome.
