Beauty Product Reviews

I have these in Bold Gold, Audacious Asphalt, Bad to the Bronze, and Too Cool. And while I absolutely love these for colored bases for my eye looks, they do not apply evenly in my opinion. Plus, at least for me, I can't wear them without a primer underneath because my eyelids get really oily and they crease on me. To be fair though, even MAC Paint Pots crease on me. I would like to see more matte shades soon, or at least some with finer glitter. I would like to purchase in more colors.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

After lusting over Inglot for years and never getting a chance to try them (since they don't even have a store in my state), I finally went to the New York store on Black Friday and purchased a quad. I have to say that these are excellent quality eyeshadows. One of my favorite high end shadows! Plus they're cheaper than MAC shadows and just as good quality. Plus, it even has more product. They last forever and texture and sheen is just beautiful. Will definitely be purchasing again.

Would be great...

This product would be a lot better if it didn't come in those awkward strips. They make the eyeshadows more difficult to work with, especially if you want to use them wet. The pigmentation is pretty good, except the shadows are also extremely dusty and make a shimmery mess everywhere. I use this palette especially when I'm doing a grey smokey eye, but considering that I prefer brown or purple smokey eyes, I don't really reach for this that often.

This was actually the first eyeshadow palette I ever owned. I repurchased the same color because I love the pigmentation, color, and the fact that it has a mixture of matte and shimmery shades. As others have said, this is a great palette to start off with. If I wore eyeshadow every day this would be something I would probably use every day, hands down. You go Maybelline, you go.

As far as color payoff, this palette is gorgeous. The purples are very rich and pigmented. I just wish that there were matte shades. Even though the shimmers in these palettes are very fine, I still would prefer one more matte. Another issue is that the shadow texture itself isn't very soft or creamy. Yes, the pigmentation is there, but it's not as creamy or buttery as cheaper eyehadows I own (such as NYX or Wet and Wild).

The formula of these has absolutely improved over the years! I used to not like some of them (the light purples) because of pigmentation issues, but I find that that isn't the case anymore. I wish I had more of these! I threw away a palette a year or so ago and I'm kicking myself for it. I also had Golden/Rust/Walnut and I loved that gold color. I don't have an issue with staying power for these, though sometimes they can have a bit of fallout. I recommend applying these with a primer. I use UDPP, and sometimes a NYX jumbo pencil to supplement the color.

This is an old love for me. The eyeshadows are creamy, pigmented, and a dream to blend. Even the matte white has great payoff, even though that is hard to find a lot. The only downside I find to mine at least is that the eyeshadows crack really easily. Other than that, I love this neutrals palette. I used it every day for three months straight. I definitely want to purchase more colors!

I love the texture of these glasses, especially since it's hard to find quality drugstore glosses with no shimmer in them. I got mine in a Holiday Set, (Cocktail Coral Set) and I've been loving them ever since. The thing with lipglosses though is that while I love them as far as quality, taste, and color, I wouldn't pay so much for the full size, unless it's a color that I would have a hard time finding in the drug store. If I were rich, then gimme gimme more.

Eyebrow Gel? No me gusta.

This did not really keep my eyebrows in place. I have thin eyebrows with decently short hairs but when I used this it made the eyebrow hairs on my arch droop downwards for some odd reason. I thought that maybe I was just using too much but even when I used less it still didn't make my arch stay neat looking. I opted out of this for the ELF clear eyebrow gel/clear mascara.

LOVE

I used to use the clear mascara by Maybelline and didn't think it was really that great as far as keeping my eyebrows in place. And, seeing as how I have to fill in my eyebrows every day, the staying power of this impressed me. This does the job and is so much cheaper! Even the first time I used it I knew I liked it better than the Maybelline clear mascara I was using before. I will keep repurchasing this!
