Mid-Week Mask

I use 2 weekly masks before the beginning of the work week, so to maintain the glow, I use this mask during the middle of the week. It helps keep my skin glowing for the rest of the week. I wouldn't say it's as good enough to give a noticeable glow, but it gives a nice boost during the middle of the week when my skin needs a little pick-me-up before the weekend begins.

Winter Skin Never Felt This Good

During the winter months, this is the body wash I always head to because it leaves my skin moisturized. I love hot water in the winter, as awful as it is for my skin, but I can't help it. This product helps with my horrible habit during the winter. It also doesn't leave a residue which I LOVE! So many other moisturizing body washes are so thick & heavy it leaves a film that I can feel during and after a shower. Head for this one if you want a gentle moisturizing body wash that doesn't leave a residue. It's worth the extra dollars at the store for sure!

Travel Must Have

I use this cream in the small tin package and I don't go anywhere without it. For $1 I get a really convenient size tin and I use it on my hands and body. I don't put it on my face because it contains heavy oils that clog my pores and can break me out. The smell is also fantastic! It honestly smells like Creme De La Mer and it almost feels like it!! hhmmm..........

Good Stuff...

The Lillium color was the best for my pale skin, but the color is a bit too flat. I tend to use this now whenever I'm doing a heavy eye makeup look. It gives me just enough subtle color and it won't overwhelm any other makeup colors I have on my face. The formula is thick though. Almost sticky. I guess that's why it lasts quite a while. The packaging is also nice because I can easily tell what color it is.

Not MY Cult Favorite

I know this is a cult favorite with a lot of people, but not for me! The formula is thick, but it runs so easily. I don't want to have to wear waterproof mascara all the time, but for this product to stay on long enough, I would have to suggest the waterproof version. I go to festivals and parties often, so having makeup that lasts for hours WITHOUT budging is a must for me! Not only did it run, but it flaked down my face, giving me raccoon eyes. I checked to see if this was an old tube or if it had gone bad but it was perfectly fine. If a mascara can't live up to my lifestyle, it gets returned.

Not Effective

I don't color my hair, so you would think this would work better for me, but it didn't do anything. I was also really concerned about the ingredients in this. I'm not necessarily eco friendly or green when it comes to products, except for clarifying shampoo, but the ingredients in this is alarming. Why am I paying so much for so many chemicals and ingredients I don't even know. The formula doesn't even last long. Within 3 months this was gone. I'm sticking with Oribe where I get hell of a lot more bang for my buck!

Great Smell, But Too Common

I love this scent to death, but I've noticed it's become so popular, everyone has it that it doesn't make it feel special anymore. I use this on the weekends or when I'm not doing anything too special. It's also not that expensive so I guess I can do that with this perfume. Perfume to me should be a little more unique and special, that's why I prefer the more obscure brands.

Not Just For Lips Anymore...

I love this stuff to death! But I've limited my use to only when I truly need it. Whenever my lips get super dry, chapped, flaky, just GROSS, I use this for about 2 days straight, day and night, and my lips are back to being super soft.

I also use this on my face when needed. During the winter, I get rough patches of skin around my mouth/cheek area which gets flaky and tight. Not good when you need to wear foundation. I put this on my face at night wherever I have rough patches because the active ingredient in this is SALICYLIC ACID! Within about 3 days, applying about twice a day, the rough patches are completely gone. It doesn't clog my pores because of that main ingredient.

They have to get rid of that "For-Cold-Sores" though because it makes me feel uncomfortable popping this out in public, especially when I'm in the subway or bus. I obviously don't have a cold sore but that isn't going to deter people from thinking that. Bad marketing.

Great Companion Mask

I use this once a week after I use another mask. I know, I use 2 facial masks, one right after the other, but it really helps my skin in the end. The first mask I use is a clay mask which clears my pores and skin from toxins and sebum, then after I wash that off I put this mask on. This mask gives me this lit from within glow to my skin and I honestly think the clay mask I use before this product helps to become that much more effective. End result for me is glowing, even toned skin. It also helps to deal with the work week ahead. Pollution and weather take a toll on my skin so it's a good start to the week.

Bedside Essential

During the holiday season around November, I rush to get the gift set of this product. It comes with the full size tubes of the shea hand and foot cream plus a travel size shea hand cream. I use these up during the winter months! I can't live where I'm living without it. The radiator in my apt during the winter makes the air extremely dry in my home, plus the blistering cold and wind from nyc just makes my skin awfully dry. I always make sure I have the travel size hand cream in my purse wherever I go, especially where there's dry air, such as an office building. It smells wonderful, pretty much like J&J baby lotion and the foot cream smells like lavender. It makes my skin so soft and never greasy because it sinks quite quickly into the skin. I keep this in a basket next to my bed so I don't forget to use it before bed, plus its just handier that way when you need quick moisture.
