good but not the best
this makes my skin smooth and silky but the small light reflecting particals in it sort of make me look more oily than i already am. it did help my foundation apply amazingly but while it was making my skin soft, it also made it a bit greasy. i switched over to tarte's clean slate and i couldnt be happier. if you can get a sample of this, it's worth trying it that way rather than shuffling out full price
will mattify you at first
but won't keep you matte all day. i wouldn't recommend this for touchups either, as it can get cakey. i love it for setting foundation though; it takes the dewy finish right out of it- making any foundation matte on my oily skin. this is also great to dust on before running out of the house for a bit. ill buy this again!
amazing moisturizer
i picked this up under my doctor's recommendation after having an allergic reaction to a face wash that left my face dry like leather. after i was done using my perscription face lotion, i started using this. i have oily skin and this can be a little heavy but nothing my skin doesn't eventually absorb. it's gentle but keeps me moisturized. the tub will last you forever and a day, as well. i love this!
best brush ever!
i wasn't real sure what sort of foundation brush to start with but i knew i needed something. when this was released from sigma, i spent a lot of time reading reviews and watching videos to see if it was something i'd like. i decided to order it and i'm so impressed. the brush itself is dense so it doesnt' suck all your product up. it also blends product like a dream into my skin, keeping it even. my ONLY complaint is that it's hard to get foundation out when you're spot cleaning. i try to wash this brush once or twice a week to get all of the product out just so i don't have any bacteria-related issues
worked for awhile
but then i was noticing that my brushes weren't actually cleaning up at all. frustrated, i looked for better options. i'm now using baby shampoo to deep clean and i'm much more satisfied. i'm also not a fan of the smell it leaves behind. it smells a bit perfume/alcoholy and my brushes seem to be suffering from that alcohol element in it. that isn't to say that this product is a total waste, though! if you can find a spray topper that fits, it makes a great spot cleaner between colors. but when i run out, i don't think i'll be repurchasing.
meh
this was my first mac concealer and i'm less than impressed by it. it's far too thick to use as an undereye concealer, but works well for blemishes...at first. i wouldn't use it for touchups midday though, because it'll cake up and look awful. ive tried better concealer from mac and just in general so this is a big ol' miss for me
where was this when i first started with make up?
i have a small amout of short bottom lashes. anytime a mascara brush touches them, product ends up all over my skin. for a long time, i didn't bother with mascara on my lower lashes at all but once i heard about this product, i knew my issues were over. i made a trip to sephora special to get this little guy and now i'm not real sure how ive managed without it. the brush is TINY and grabs all of my lashes, coating them evenly with a smudgeproof formula. this never flakes or melts down my face but is still easy to take off at the end of the day. i'll always buy this!
