Beauty Product Reviews | Page 6

I usually have a bit of a problem with NYX lip products because so often they're packed with glitter. But then lo and behold, they made my favorite lipstick. The shade Paris is a rosey color and it has the smallest hint of a lavender shade to it. It's shiny but not sparkly and it lasts me a really long time.

I used to be sort of paranoid about Wet and Wild because I was convinced you get what you pay for, but then I started getting really into Elf, and it made me wonder what kind of stuff companies could put out there that wasn't too expensive. Mother of all that is holy I LOVE this eye shadow. I have used it twice over the last 2 days and I am ashamed that I wasted so much time not using their products. I have the shade Envy which is a deep emerald green and it's so velvety and pigmented. Everyone should at least try these, and for $2, what have you got to lose?

Great For Beginners

My little sister just got into makeup, and her biggest problem is she can never seem to figure out what shade to put in the crease, on your lid, etc. Then we found this, and she was elated. She first got Walking On Eggshells, which I thought was a good idea because neutrals are always a good place to start, and the colors in that are REALLY similar to the Covergirl Shimmering Sands Trio which I almost bought her. But this came with a built-in explanation of what to do.

The colors are really good, and they're really fun and cute. However, the polish chipped in less than a day on almost every nail and after I took it off, my nails were really brittle and dry. It wasn't like I spent a lot on it, but I don't even think I'm going to reuse the one I have, let alone buy another one.

Awesome colors

I really love these. I have El Dorado, which is gold, Deviant, which is a bright royal blue, and Stash which is a green-ish gray. They're not great for the waterline, which is why I'm glad I didn't buy it in Zero, their black shade, but if you put it on your lower and upper lash lines, they will stay on forever. I don't know why they're waterproof on lash lines and not the water line, but because I have them in colors, I would only want to put them on my lash lines anyway.

I haven't used the beauty blender either, but honestly, I'm thrilled with how this works so I won't be needing to spend 10 more dollars. If you apply your foundation either with your fingers or a foundation brush, get the kind of coverage you want, and then use the damp sponge, it smoothes out the foundation into this perfect, even finish.

SO good

This concealer is SO creamy. There's a dark and light shade, so if one doesn't match you perfectly you can mix them. The green-tinted one covers redness without being stand-off green on your face, and it comes with a setting powder. I would not recommend being shy with that powder because otherwise it'll settle into lines under your eyes but other than that, it's great.

Elf?

I usually love elf. Their products are fantastic for the price you pay, and I'm addicted. So you could imagine my surprise when I purchased their concealer and hated it. They're thin and not workable or buildable at all and they're just bad. Don't waste your $3

I can't even explain

These shadows are amazing. I can't even explain it because if I do, this post will be 4 paragraphs. Just go check it out. They have so many colors and ahhh, they're just so good.

I dare you

Go to a Sephora or Ulta. Grab one of these testers and swipe it on the back of your hand. Now go through your day. It will not move. This stuff is heaven. I'm on a swim team, and I had this on before practice one time, in the color Sin, so it's kind of flesh-toned, so I wasn't worried about it running down my face and making me look like a raccoon. To my surprise, after 2.5 hours of being in a pool and sweating, it looked like I had just put it on. Literally, these will never be gone from my makeup collection, I have them in almost every color.
