NARS International Lead Makeup Artist Uzo created a natural look that focused on strong brows and contoured cheeks. "It complements Daryl's collection without overpowering it. A subtle swipe of blue along the lash line creates a playful affect but the strong brow and radiant skin add confidence."
"We didn't want to see the makeup before seeing the clothes, but still wanted a strong look," said James Boehmer, NARS Director of Global Artistry. "It's very chalky and very '90s—we balanced the chalky eyes with a luminous cheek."
The look at Calvin Klein was pure, natural, and simple. “This look is supposed to appear as if each girl was just wearing her hair naturally," said Redken Creative Consultant Guido. "It’s very Calvin Klein, it’s very beautiful, and we don't see it very often; it’s refreshing.”
The hair at Ralph Lauren was clean, simple and modern, the epitome of the Ralph Lauren woman. “The look is easy sophistication achieved by a ponytail," said Redken Creative Consultant Guido. "It’s very elegant but not forced. It’s just about true beauty and a luxurious look.”

At Naeem Khan's spring 2012 show, CND's Wanda Ruiz crafted "Hematite Nails" for manicures and pedicures using the concrete gray shade of CND Colour in Asphalt, finished with a lustrous coat of CND Super Shiney Top Coat. This popular almond shape accentuated the twisted buns and gorgeous gowns of Naeem Khan's spring collection.
The overall look at Theyskens Theory was edgy, soft and wearable for spring. Kérastase lead hairstylist Odile Gilbert created shiny loose waves—it's an urban girl on the street who knows how to look good.
Hairstylist Odile Gilbert and the Kérastase team was inspired by Van Gogh's brushwork at Rodarte spring 2012. "The overall look was beautiful, flowing feminine hair with an off-center part and natural waves," said Odile. “I wanted the hair to be beautiful, soft and innocent.”

For Wayne's white-washed spring collection , Wanda Ruiz created "Birds of Prey" manicures using CND Colour in Brilliant White with feathered and furious strokes of CND Colour in Blackjack on the tip of each nail to go with fierce, white-out eyebrows.
For Milly's spring show, CND manicurist Candice Manacchio fashioned neon bright nails using a blend of CND Colours in Brillant White, Bicycle Yellow, and Electric Orange, to accessorize fuchsia pink lips and vibrant shades of vermillion, tangerine and jade in the collection.
At The Blonds, CND manicurist Kristina Estabrooks created "Glitz & Glam" manicures for a '60s-inspired collection, infused with the Playboy glamour and razzle-dazzle spectacle we all know and love. 20 sets of nail tips took over 100 hours of manual labor to hand detail, and included a "Stockings Series" of manicures portraying fishnets, lacy tights and sexy seams. Vintage cosmic-shaped glass was imported from Germany to shape diamond-decadent nails.
