NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
MAKEUP

"The inspiration for the makeup look at Carlos Miele comes from a desire to focus on the natural beauty and femininity of a woman," said Maybelline New York Makeup Artist Gato Zamora. "It's a sophisticated yet simple look for a night out."

Gato first prepped skin with Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation. He dotted Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer onto the middle of the forehead, the mid-cheek, the brow bone, and into the inner corners of the eyes. Gato gave depth and contour to the face with Maybelline Fit Me! Bronzer, and applied from the outer forehead to the temple, under the cheekbone, and under the jaw line. He layered the two chocolate brown shades in Maybelline Eye Studio Color Explosion Luminizing Eye Shadow in Caffeine Rush over the lid. He finished the eyes with a coat of Maybelline Volum' Express One-by-One Mascara in Blackest Black. Gato added Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipcolor in Nude Glow for a natural color with high shine.

HAIR

Redken celebrity hairstylist Rodney Cutler (he's responsible for Emma Watson's cropped cut!) and the ULTA team created a sleek wet hairstyle inspired by water to complement the flowing, aquatic fabrics of the collection. Rodney wanted the models to look like they had just emerged from water.
