Horrible Lipstick!!
Now, I haven't tried others in this line, but this Hippie Chic lipstick is awful. Sure, it's creamy, but it applies patchy. The only thing matte about it is the lack of shine or glitter. It feels more like a cream lipstick. I tried it over liner, lip primer, and it still wouldn't apply right. I just couldn't get the thing to work. This is probably my first miss with NYX.
Inky Black!
This is the blackest eyeliner I have. I love using it as a base for my eyeshadows because it won't crease! It's great to have for a smoked out winged liner because the black is so intense. It's creamy, smooth, and easy to work with. Once it sets it isn't moving. I just wish it would stay in my waterline, but then again UD pencils don't even work for me.
Good quality.
I got a sample of this with my order. This is a great setting powder for my foundation. It keeps my face flawless and reduces my shine throughout the day to about half. However, the claim for buildable coverage is a bit ambitious. I tried this alone and it took a lot of buffing and powder to get my face halfway evened out. If you're a person that doesn't have any skin redness it might do you fine. It matches my skin really well; I'm shocked it's not the lightest they have! Either way, it's still a great powder. I'd definitely repurchase it.
It's worth the $20.
I got a sample of this in a kit, and I fell in love. I was hoping I wouldn't because of the price. It lengthens, separates, and gives a fair amount of volume. I already have long lashes, so this makes me look like I'm wearing some falsies. It technically isn't waterproof, but I cried in this mascara, and it didn't budge! It's also very easy to remove. I will purchase a full size if I can't find a cheaper, just as great mascara.
One of the best primers!
Vee, the Glamour Doll Eyes owner, made these in two forms: Vegan and Non Vegan. Not only is there an option for Vegans, but they are amazing! I tried the brown (vegan) one before it was reformulated, I think I got a bad tin. Anyways, Vee wanted me to try the one she made for a Valentine's set, the pink (non vegan) one. I did and fell in love! It's smooth creamy and keeps my shadows locked in place all day. I can even sleep in my eye makeup and I'll wake up with it almost in tact! (I know that's not healthy) These tins cost $11 and will literally last you a year if not more. It's a great buy. I have overly oily lids deep set set eyes, my shadows don't crease or fade. (Unless it's a bad quality shadow). The customer service is amazing with Vee. She's always thinking about her customers.
Not sticky, long lasting.
I bought a gloss in Gaga. It's an almost magenta hot pink. It gives a little something extra to my bare lips. It isn't a sticky goopy gloss. It does kind of cling to the lips, which can make my lips feel slightly chapped. It also stays on for quite a long time without a lip primer. Overall for the $8 price tag, it's a good deal. The smell is kind of lotiony to me, however.
One of the best eye sets!
I love all of these brushes! Yes, they're short, but they work really well. The large eye brush is great for putting a base eyecolor down quickly. The angled crease brush, is my favorite! It's great for putting a background crease color. It's also awesome for highlighting the browbone and inner corners because of the slanted edge. The blending brush is a standard brush, it takes it a bit to really blend colors out. The dome smudger brush is amazing for blending out top and bottom pencil eyeliner with great precision. I can even blend out a smokey wing with this. The smaller detail brush is great. It's small enough to get into the corners of the eye, and big enough to back on some color to the lid. It's like a mini 217 from MAC. These brushes are so amazingly soft, and clean easily! I think this wasn't more than 10 bucks.
ELF brushes be gone!
I've been eager to try these brushes for a long time. They're amazing quality for a rather cheap price. I use the dome shadow brush for concealer; it buffs in it in beautifully. The base shadow brush is really fluffy, so it's great for sweeping an all over color or blending. The accent brush is so tiny, but effective for smudging and inner corner work. I love the angled brush for brows, it's also thick enough to apply a cut crease. Some people like rather small brushes for brows, but I have to fill so much of mine in that it's perfect. The liner brush is the only one I have issues with. It's rather thick to use for gel liner, and the feral it's wider/thicker that the bristles itself. It comes in contact with the eye before the actual brush does. It's still useful for the under eye. This is a great set for under $20.
It's seawater in a jar!
This color is gorgeous. It has the beautiful turquoise shimmer, that reminds me of sparkles on sea water. It goes great with many different eye shadows for a highlight/accent color. This also looks great and not overly done as a cheekbone highlight if you're feeling daring or wearing a certain blue/green look. This is a truly unique color.
