Beautiful liners, but slight disappointment
I got this set for $38. I didn't have any of these liners, so I thought it was a good buy. EVERYONE in the beauty community finds these the best for there waterline. NOT FOR ME! I can't even get the pigmentation on my waterline, like I would on my lashlines. Maybe, the formula is just too soft or something. I was so disappointed. However, these make amazing smudged out liners and budge proof bases. I'm happy I didn't buy the Perversion in a full size, and stuck with the set.
Awful!
I bought this on sale, for about 5 bucks. I love NYX products, so I thought this would be good. The claim "Faux Lashes" is completely miss leading. First of all, the brush is easy to apply with, but gobs of the product get on the end of the brush. This isn't a very black mascara. It gives slight volume. It starts flaking off within a couple hours of wear and looses what pigmentation it has. I'm just glad I got this on sale. I threw it away because there was no way I'd wear this again.
Best Quick Small Everyday Shadows
I bought the trio in Dune. It has a shimmery light creme shade, satin light terracotta shade, and a matte medium warm brown shade. I love using this palette for a pinup twist, or fast out the door look with smudged eyeliner. The pigmentation is great. There is fallout, but I just tap my brush back into the pan and it's fine!
I got this because I love Maybelline products and the reviews on here were good. I was pretty impressed. It was a bit weird at first because it's a sponge tip, but that's what makes the lines so precise. It's a very opaque black. My only complaint is that because it is a sponge tip sometimes I have to get more product on the applicator while trying to do my winged liner. The sponge tip absorbs everything quickly. That's why I can't quite give it 5 stars. Overall, it's a good liner for drug store.
Very Pleased!
I was using Bare Minerals foundation in light, but then I needed more coverage. I started to have more blemishes and I developed a few acne scars. =/ So I decided to go with liquid foundation. I looked at youtube reviews on drugstore foundations. I wanted to start with something cheap to see how my skin reacted before I invested my money into something expensive. I was extremely pleased with this foundation! It works with my massively oily skin. I do need to use a concealer for an acne that I so have, but for the most part it covers all that I need covered. It feels light on my skin. It doesn't oil throughout the day. I apply Fyrinna Fluff underneath and on top to make sure that it sets. My only complaint is that it does come in kind of a small bottle, but it is pretty cheap. Less than $5? Can't beat that. Oh, and even though it's a matte foundation, I find it gives a slight glow to my skin. Bottom line, I'll repurchase!
A New Favorite
I LOVE THIS MASCARA! When I first opened it, the brush was terrifying. But, when I actually applied it to my lashes it worked like a dream. I just had to be careful because the brush is SO big, but that is what really gives my lashes the lift and the volume. Using it at the bow of the brush, I can really wiggle in the mascara at the root of my lashes which is what gives the appearance of volume. I think this mascara is more meant for people who have naturally slight lifted and curled lashes. I couldn't imagine having to try to use this mascara with straight thin lashes. It would be a disaster, so I don't believe it's meant for everyone.
I got this liner because my local Ulta was out of Maybelline's waterproof/smudgeproof cream liner pencil. I think that this is an ok liner. I say that it's ok because it's not waterproof, so it does not work well for the waterline. I also think the black could be a bit more pigmented. It works great for outlining a cat eye then filling it in with black shadow. I'm just not all that impressed with this product.
A Must Have!
I've had this set for almost 3 years now, it works wonders!! I think every girl who is somewhat serious about there makeup should have it. It has all the elements you need for a smokey eye look in one set. I love the shadow 1980s. When I apply it wet, it's this very pretty sterling silver type color. When applied dry and blended out, it's a very shimmery nude sandy brown type color. It's so versatile! The brush is very handy. Although the smudger end on mine is starting to shed terribly, but it's lived a long life for a brush in my opinion. I would by a new set just for the 1980s shadow and brush. The other colors are great, but I feel like you could find them anywhere.
I got a small palette for a gift. It has Latte, Off The Rack, Snap and The New Black in it. I wasn't very impressed with the black. After a while the shadow almost dried up in a way and it's hard to get any on my brush. I loved the pink and creme shade. The creme shade actually blends into my skintone so it makes for a great highlight. The shadows do last for a good amount of time. Overall, I think if it wasn't a gift, I wouldn't have gotten it. Lancome is very pricey.
I really like this gel. It's not heavy on my hair. I naturally have wavy hair. This product makes it a bit more curly and really keeps the shape of my waves. Once I locked down the right way of applying it to my hair (rubbing the gel all over my hand then into my hair) it doesn't leave sticky hard pieces as an after effect. It keeps everything very smooth and not plastic-y or brittle looking. When I use the hair spray with, it turns out even better. The only problem I have is that the hold can fade after about half way through the day. I'd recommend mixing it with something else.
