lol mary don't be mad that i have an opinion. sorry i can't post on this topic unless i agree with all of you. i'm not "taking it to heart" honey, i'm just stating that you all are looking at it just from your point of view, look at it from theirs too. you all aren't innocent angels i promise you ,so don't act like because some of the MAC employees are rude you're automatically the victim and it's like that everyone. i'm sure you've been rude to a stranger a few times in your life so don't be so damn harsh.

@ Sabrina Why would think Mac is getting a bad rep? A person on this topic stated that a lot of people have complained about their rudeness. This is not the first post in Mac history talking about there customer service. Before I posted this topic I did my research online about there customer service. Do you think that Mac is going to loose millions of dollars over this topic? I don't think so. Its not "middle school like" because you're asking others if they experience the same things that you have. Sharing an experience with someone and voicing your thoughts is not being childish. I posted this topic to see if it was a NYC thing or was it happening anywhere else. Also no one is saying that all MAC employees are rude because that's not true. I've met a Mac employee who is actually pretty cool. But the majority that I've encountered were rude. I worked in retail before so I get that you have to make sales. But you also have to treat each person like there going to actually buy something. If not then you're definitely not going to make your sale. Just like you stated they are human and so are the customers. Sabrina don't take this topic or any other topic so seriously. Its just us girls talking. :D

@Miranda I would love to be around a pushy sales person. Usually when I'm going into a store I want to buy something.

I live in upstate ny and people always steal the samples from the displays at marketplace mall Macy's counter near me soo I guess I understand why they are on edge at least here and seem standoff-ish but working with customers for the past five years I've learned a lot and that's not the way to get a quota reached nor is it following the company's policy (god forbid) soo either way the brand is amazing so I'm sure their not to worried about it it'll get sold. #onlineshopping

Oh no i'm not taking it seriously! i'm just stating my opinion about it, because i've become close to the people that are at my mac counter and i think it's not about the area i think it's just the people in general. i just have a pet peeve when people don't think of why others may be having a bad day or acting rude, and they just accuse. it's nothing against you! theres not one place in the world (maybe besides disney world) that has perfect customer service. and i accept your opinion just as much as i hope you accept mine. as for you mary, calm down and act mature. if anything you're the laughing stock of this post thinking you're tough. i can state my opinion, i wasn't calling out anyone or being insanely rude - i'm doing nothing wrong. you on the other hand, are being extremely childish.

and pamela i hope you find a MAC counter near you that has better customer service or you find a MAC girl that you can build a customer relationship with and you wont have those issues. nothing against you dear! didn't mean to sound stand off ish. as i stated above, it's just a pet peeve lmao.

no wonder she's trying so hard to protect MAC, her profile says her dream goal is to work for MAC, thats nice but here's a tip, if you want to reach your goal & make money there, DON'T BE RUDE TO CUSTOMERS, ever, even online. If you can't take constructive criticism then sales is not for you, especially when your already feeling like your wasting your time w/people who may not buy the products. IMO, i don't give a sh*t what your selling, MAC or not, if you are rude, i will not waste my money in your store, period. On top of that, i will give you a BAD REVIEW and not recommend the store or products to anyone. Keep that in mind w/your "goal as a MAC employee" Sabrina. And one last thing, stop taking this so seriously, this is Beautylish, people have the right to voice their reviews & opinions on here.

" and isn't that what i was doing hun? you're contradicting yourself. and yes - i love mac and have been a loyal customer to them for years. if i got bad customer service, i wouldn't be going back time after time. i know how the retail world is, stop talking to me like im a child when you're the one acting like one.

Sabrina, you can say whatever you want & keep defending yourself. My thoughts on RUDE MAC EMPLOYEES STANDS no matter what you think, and btw, laughing is not childish but its obviously something you need to learn to do once in awhile instead of taking things so seriously on the internet, try & smile more then maybe you'll have a better night ;-)

ok and my opinion still stands too? i was never insulting you and you come at me for no reason. i stated above to pamela that i wasn't taking this seriously. i was stating my opinion like you said that "this is beautylish and thats what people have the right to do". so do i not have those rights at all? you need to learn to make sense before you come at someone. and i actually do smile often, you don't know me to judge dear. so please, move on and stop trying to act smart with me.

@Sabrina I respect everyone's opinions. For me to find a good mac store is going to cost me some serious travel time. For me to travel into the city is about an hour and half without delays. :(

@Pamela, that really stinks ): the closest mac i have is at a macys counter then a free standing store is like 40 minutes away. i kinda like the thrill of online shopping though, it's like christmas when you get a package in the mail lmao! but shipping is the annoying part.

@Sabrina yea it does stink. I have to take a bus to a train. which is crazy! I love online shopping too. I just bought a 120 palette, sunglasses, ben nye powder and Le femme blushes. I have a shopping addiction. LOL

sunglasses are my weakness oh my god! and i have a shopping addiction too, thankfully nobody has tried to send me to a shopping anonymous class hahaha. i can't help myself. i go through my closet and makeup and get rid of a ton of things, i feel accomplished, then i go buy more.

LOL....Yea this summer I purchased 10 pair of sunglasses and that has never happened. It used to be clothes but I gained some weight so I moved on to something else. In a week or so I'm going through my stuff and getting rid of a lot. My style changes every season so there's no point of having these clothes. I'll give them to a homeless shelter in a few months.

I don't have MAC near me but twice I have traveled to go to their shop and I always find that their customer service is amazing, really helpful people. But of course I can't comment on how they are in other shops as I've only been to the Cardiff one and the Birmingham one....

I'm usually in the shops for about an hour and they always make the time to help me choose what I'm after which I really really like :)

I had an awful experience with a MAC store here in my city (which I discussed in detail on another thread here) and because of it it turned me on to another line which I'm now consider myself a hardcore addict of. But I found a hidden gem of a MAC store at another shopping center earlier this year and ever since then I have yet to have an rude MUA experience. They have all been super nice and very helpful even when dropping by for just one item.
