You have to be super careful not to mix the colors too much, but when I blend my eyeshadows i use an fluffy eyeshadow brush (e.l.f.) & i blend where one color starts and the next one stops. Hope i helped!

A good blending brush is important, use a light hand and pick up a small amount of product and then slowly build up the color. Also with a lot of practice u can use your fingers... Here is a video to show u how
