About Me
Alum of the Aveda Institute Des Moines. Licensed Esthetician, future nurse. My dream is to use my esthetician background and nursing education to become a nurse in a dermatologist's office. I am a Makeup aficionado (I don't like calling myself a MUA but I do freelance), dog mom, lover of tattoos and beautiful weirdos everywhere. After 10 years of being an office drone I can finally say I'm doing what I love! I am currently a student at a community college for nursing. I'm just beginning to learn to take pictures of my different makeup looks and and I don't have a super fancy camera (nor do I really know anything about taking pictures) so be gentle when looking at my photos! I love coffee, even in the middle of the afternoon knowing full well I will be wired at 1 AM.. I have never nor will I ever like coconut. I'm one of a kind and I wouldn't change it for the world.

FAQ
Q: How many tattoos do you have?A: I stopped counting, but I've spent a total of about 40 hours in a tattoo shop.
Q: What are your favourite brands?
A: Hmmm...Aveda (duh), MAC, Bobbi Brown, NARS, Sugarpill, Medusa's Make Up, Stila, Make Up For Ever and Urban Decay are the first that come to mind. I also like going to ETSY and trying out mineral makeup companies. I've used Ben Nye concealers to cover up some of my tattoos (before I got my arm sleeved.) My skin has become accustomed to Aveda's skincare but I also really like REN and Suki for skincare as well. Derma E and Ilike are two others I favor as well. Great makeup starts with great skin!
Q: What's your favourite thing about being an esthetician?
A: Making my guests look and feel their absolute best. Facials and makeup are my specialties. I'm good at facial waxing, and I'm getting better with body waxing. You're either going to fall in love with waxing or it's gonna freak you out. It freaked me out at first but with practice I'm becoming more comfortable with it.
Q: What's the one piece of skin care advice you think is universal?
A: It's never too early to begin using a good eye cream. And don't forget to use sunscreen!
