Transform Into These 5 Disney Villains This Halloween

Hey people pleasers-turned-self prioritizers! 2022 kicked off the “villain era,” a move to uplifting your needs over being taken for granted. So, it may be time to express your inner villain this Halloween. (Mwah ha ha)

This year, dress up as an iconic Disney antagonist. Of course we’re glad that their diabolical plans always end in demise, but we’ll admit that their ambition and confidence is admirable. Transform into these 5 witty, humorous, and downright evil characters with the following villain-inspired makeup looks.

Ursula

“Life’s full of tough choices, innit?” That’s especially true when choosing a costume. Take matters into your own tentacles, and silence the entire Halloween party by showing up as the one and only Ursula.

  1. Contour your complexion with a matte lavender cream color. Using a face brush, blend the shade right above your cheekbones, along your temples, sides of your forehead, and neck.

  2. With a black brow pencil, fill your eyebrows to create a cartoon-like “s” formation.

  3. Build a turquoise smoky eye using the Dominique Cosmetics The Moment Eyeshadow Palette. First, apply the cream matte shade “Embrace” to your lids.

  4. Blend the black, shimmery shade “La Noche'' into your creases. Create depth by adding more of this shade to your lids’ outer “v.” Then, smudge it along your lower lash lines.

  5. Press the metallic turquoise shade “Life Of The Party” onto the center of your lids. Also, apply it to the inner part of your lower lash lines.

  6. Finish your eye look with black liquid eyeliner and long, wispy lashes.

  7. With black liner, paint Ursula’s signature beauty mark near the right side of her mouth.

  8. Sweep on a glossy red lipstick, then belt out the lyrics to "Poor Unfortunate Souls.”

Cruella De Vil

~Cue the theme song~ No one can outwit the miserable, perfectly wretched woman that is Cruella. Channel her chic-yet-unkempt persona with a look sure to cause a sudden chill.

  1. Replicate Cruella’s bright green eye shadow look using the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Money Palette. First, apply the matte neon chartreuse shade “Chameleon Fetish” to your lids.

  2. Blend the metallic green pressed pigment “Poison Ivy” into your crease. Create depth by adding more of this shade to your lids’ outer “v.”

  3. Finish your eye look with black liquid eyeliner and natural-looking false lashes.

  4. Apply a timeless deep red shade to your lips.

  5. Optional: Using black eyeliner, draw paw print designs climbing up the sides of your eyes. Paint an upside down heart to represent a paw, then 4 dots surrounding it.

Yzma

Comically-evil sorceress Yzma will stop at nothing until she’s empress. This quick and easy makeup routine will have you looking like the power-hungry antagonist with just enough time left over for dessert and a quick cup of coffee.

  1. Smoke out your lids with the Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 28. Apply the true purple shade to your lids. Smudge the matte magenta-purple shade along your lower lash lines.

  2. Create Yzma’s spidery lashes with 2-3 coats of lash-defining mascara–the more clumps the better.

  3. Add a bright purple matte lipstick to define your pout as you scream out, “Pull the lever, Kronk!”

Scar

This prideful lion was first in line to become king, until the “little hairball” Simba was born. Channel Scar’s cruel and kingly confidence with a look that’ll have everyone quivering in fear.

  1. Using the versatile Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette (it’s great for last-minute Halloween looks!) create Scar’s feline stare. Blend the deep cinnamon brown shade “Rustic” into your crease. Apply the dark coffee-hued shade “Cyprus Umber” to your lids.

  2. Spritz your liner brush with a setting spray (the added wetness helps with payoff), then dip it into the beige matte shade “Tempera.” Draw a scar line through your left brow. Pick up your brush, and continue the line underneath your left eye.

  3. Create a cat eye with a steel-colored pencil, then extend the line past your tear ducts. Line your water lines.

  4. To create the illusion of Scar’s piercing green eyes, use a lime green cream color as liner for your lower lids.

  5. Add black, tapered accent lashes to the edges of your lids for extra drama.

  6. Using black liquid liner, trace the bottom part of your nose and fill in the tip. Trace a line connecting your nose to your Cupid’s bow.

  7. Swipe on a matte black liquid lipstick.

Hades

If you’re quick to shout, “Yes! Hades rules!” — you’ll probably give this eye and lip look two fiery thumbs up. Enter the Halloween party as the temperamental King of the Underworld. Dance, schmooze, carry on, and then it’s back to rearranging the cosmos.

  1. Create a look inspired by the colors of Hades’ hair and eyes. Start with an electric blue cream color base for your lids. Using a liner brush, trace a blue half-dome design above your creases. Then, fill in your lids with this shade using a flat brush.

  2. Clean your liner brush, dip it into red cream color, and line your lower lashes.

  3. With the same brush, apply yellow cream color to your water lines and blend the shade into your tear ducts.

  4. Add winged liner and a coat of black mascara to your lashes.

  5. Apply gray lipstick to complete your transformation into the “Lord of the Dead.”
