Bye Bye Pores!

When I put on this primer, it's literally like I'm watching my pores disappear before my eyes. It's a clear primer (not a fan of tinted ones), and it glides onto my skin and feels so wonderful. I notice my foundation applying much smoother and much more even. It really helps if you need a little extra coverage as well. I can't even see the normally giant pores on my nose when I use this! It gives your foundation something to stick to, so I don't notice a lot/any transferring at all. My only, ONLY drawback to this, is the smell. I'm very sensitive to smells, and it smells a little, plasticy? I don't know how to describe it, but the smell diminishes almost immediately after you put it on, so I can stand the few seconds of smelling it xD Definitely worth it! I would consider re-purchasing this primer without a second thought!

Loving it!

I've been on a mascara-testing binge lately, searching for a new holy grail mascara. I got a sample tube of this, and I'm loving it! The brush works amazingly. I'm partial to rubber bristle brushes in the first place, I find that they really do the job of separating my lashes. I can't speak for the 'curling' part of it, as I never curl my lashes, however it does do an amazing job of lengthening my lashes and making them look gorgeous. I have naturally long, thick lashes, so finding something that doesn't make them clump into a stickly mess is an automatic win. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the curved wand. I've just never really liked any curved mascara wands I've tried. However, it's not a deal-breaker! Also removing this mascara is a breeze. It isn't waterproof, so it doesn't pull out half my lashes when I'm ready to remove my makeup! This one is definitely in the 'may re-purchase' running if I don't find anything better!

Buy these now!

These went on sale at a local store, and the colors had been luring me closer and closer to buying them for a long time. So I finally gave in and bought a couple. I seriously don't know why I didnt' buy these SOONER! The colors are vibrant, the texture is to die for, and they apply and blend like a dream. So comparable to high end shadows. And at the $2 price range, there is no reason for you not to own them all. Whats even better, is that there are a fair amount of shimmery shades, some glittery shades, and even some matte shades. (Including a gorgeous matte black). Wet N Wild seriously hit the nail right on the head with these babies! I want to buy them all and stick them in a Z-Palette!

Neat!

This little brush is one of the most unique face brushes I own. Not big enough to be a real blush brush, too big for concealer, and too skinny for foundation. I've been playing around with it, and one of my favorite uses for it is for applying a powder highlighter! You can use the nice flat side to sweep a shimmery highlight on the tops of your cheek bones, and the skinny side for smaller areas like the cupids bow. I also love it for applying a quick sweep of blush. The size is perfect for just a bit of a flushed look on my skin! Plus the bristles are super soft. Never have any problems with scratching or poking. In fact, I think this is nicer than my actual kabuki brush!

Love!

I literally can't think of anything bad to say about this palette. Theres a great range of neutrals and darkened colors. It makes it easy to make a simple smokey eye, or play up a little bit of color without getting too intense and vibrant. The colors have great pigmentation to them, and apply like a dream. So velvety and smooth to apply and blend!

So amazing

I LOVE these glitter nail polishes. It's not your average glitter, it's massive chunky glitters, seriously like little gems in every bottle! As with any glitter polish, they can be a little difficult to work with and remove, but the outcome is just so gorgeous and eye-catching. I definitely want more of them. I can imagine layering different colors would just be so gorgeous!

They're okay

These shadows are definitely unique, but I do find some problems with them. Application can be patchy and uneven at times. When I go to apply this, sometimes the top of the product will be hard, making it hard to get the creamy, gel consistency it's supposed to be. I always make sure to close them tightly too, but still find the same thing. Also, the product can kind of build up on my finger, and not transfer onto my lid evenly. It can be difficult to get the product from your finger onto your lid. Despite these issues, these still make wonderful bases. Even with the uneven application, they're great for adding another dimension to the eyeshadow you apply over them. I have no problems with creasing either. These are a so-so product. I like the ones I own, but I'm not running out to buy them all. I don't reach for them as often as I'd like to because they can take some times to work with.

Yes, MAC is great. However, I don't think MAC is the BEST out there. I absolutely adore my sketch eyeshadow. The color is so gorgeous and unique! This one applies nicely, but some of the other colors can be a little chalky. Sometimes it can be difficult to get the color in the pan, onto your lids. I expect great pigmentation when I buy MAC shadows, but sometimes they do fall short of 'the best'.

Not a fan

I tried a sample of this because I was looking for a new foundation, and this one did not make the cut. What it DOES do is create a perfectly blank canvas of your skin. If that's what you're looking for, this might be for you. It is almost more like a paint than makeup! The lightest color was far too pinkish for me, and since it applies so thick, it's almost impossible to cut that down. When blending it, it dries so fast that sometimes a spot will dry before the rest of the area you're blending, and then the dry spot will almost feel off and stick to your brush instead of stay on your face. It feels very heavy. You can definitely tell you're wearing foundation. I also found that it transferred to EVERYTHING. I've never left that many foundation marks on everything I touch.

I think China Glaze polishes are okay. They seem to be pretty opaque, apply nicely, and last as long as your average polish. I don't think theres anything SPECTACULAR about them, but they have a great range of colors and polishes. And their collections are always gorgeous!
