Beauty Product Reviews

Colors are slightly off

I tried this product on my hunt for a better foundation and I'm not impressed.. Its more of a bb cream than a foundation.. The colors are also limiting.. The color I have is very orange.. It blends okay but still not a great coverage, not the performance I'd expected.. You can read more details on my review over at my blog if you're interested.. I also review the Stila concealer in the post.. http://www.staybruniful.com/2012/05...

Miracle Worker

I don't want to sound dramatic but I have never found a foundation as wonderful as this! It really does cover everything, my old acne scars, my new acne scars, my plain old active acne..... Its great! Doesn't look thick or cake and stays moist without looking greasy.. Its my new favorite.. Love Love Love

Life savers!

I keep these in my makeup bag in my purse at all times.. They come in handy when I'm at work and need to run errands without getting my hair in my face or worrying if its still straight.. When its rainy out I tend to frizz up big time so these are a life saver..

Nice colors with average coverage

The colors in this collection are great! But the coverage is a bit patchy.. Its a shame because I really want to try a few more of the colors but I'm not so great at painting my nails (haha I take forever to get it right or it just looks like I let a little kid do it for me).... Sooo, I'm not looking forward to the 3+ coats it needs to look right.. I posted a pic in my profile of my nails painted in the color Club Prive after 2 thick coats and its still patchy in places..

Creasing killed this product for me :(

I really like the colors in the neutral pallete that I bought.. The nude skin toned one had a minimal amount of shimmer which I thought was perfect for a base and for blending colors and I was pleased with the pigment of the darkest color in the strip, the chocolately brown.. The middle 2 are just okay, nice shades but not as pigmented as I'd hoped for.. So the colors are great but the intensity is off the mark and creasing is a huge issue with these for me.. I've even tried with an eyelid primer and no luck.. Hoping for a reformulation soon because I had high hopes :(

Great for the price

Great value for a drug store product.. Very creamy but borderline too creamy if that makes sense haha.. The liner is very soft and does glide on nicely but the tip of the pencil is so soft that it flatens out quickly and the tip scrapes off on your lashes and leaves clumps of soft liner in your lash line.. The liner is very easy to line your water lines with but can cloud your eyes after applying it since it doesnt quite stay in place right away.. But intense pigment for such a low price

I'll have to get used to it...

I bought this product in Brown Sugar to create that bronzy highlighted glow.. I was so excited to try it until it arrived and I have to say I was a bit confused at first.. The consistency is very thin, cream to liquid, supppper sheer and has noticeable glitter in it.. I will admit that the glitter does dissipate when applied but so does most of the color, not that I want a noticeable brown color but this applies clear.. I mean crystal clear, I haven’t tried the other colors but I can speak for brown sugar and its not brown (bronzy).. Still can be a nice dewy highlight I'm sure but it is not at all what you would expect from the image or description..

Nice creamy formula

Great coverage.. Hid my dark circles nearly instantly.. I was a bit worried when I first applied it though since the color seemed to be a slightly odd shade but blends in really well and no signs of creasing as of yet even though I've heard that this product tends to settle.. I havent experienced it yet (fingers crossed).. The one issue that I have is that the formula is very creamy, which is great for a pot or tube obviously but in a stick form it tends to break off at the tip since the concealer is so soft.. Still a great product just not the most effective in a stick form like I had hoped..

Brilliant!

I've recently decided to kick my hobby up a notch and start getting into posting more pics of makeup looks and hair and what-not.. So as a beginner atarting out I didnt want to spend a ton of money straight off the bat.. I bought this e.l.f. brush and now I dont see the point in buying the more expensive brushes! Its great! I started with a more expensive but still cheap drugstore brush and it shed and applied blotchy product, this was a fraction of the cost of even a drugstore brush and works like a professional! I use this one for stipling foundation and it blends it seamlessly.. Great brush!

Foundation? Who needs foundation?!

I am in love with this product! I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for an affordable BB Cream to hit the drug store shelves and here it is.. It is the perfect blend between a tinted moisturizer and a liquid/cream foundation.. The balmy, thick texture, smooths out nicely over the skin without feeling thick or cakey and gently blurs any imperfections.. Although I did not notice much of a hydrating effect I do agree that the product does everything else it promises.. This will now be my go-to daily morning routine.. I personally have darker under eye circles so I will be adding coverup over this.. If you are like me and need to cover any minor imperfections I would suggest using the cream before your concealer because this seriously cuts down on the amount of spots you need to cover and you dont want to put too much product on.. So apply this first then touchup the few spots you see coming through, I'm telling you, it wont be many..
