Beauty Product Reviews

This is a pretty good primer for 6 bucks, but I'm not in love with it. It mattifies your face when applied, but I didn't notice any oil control throughout the day. It does minimize pores and smooth skin. I think it extends the wear of foundation a bit but not massively so. It goes on clear so you get no color benefits. It feels pretty good on the skin. Honestly it's just kind of an average product.

This lip balm is lighter than a lot of options, which is preferable to me in the summer when my lips aren't as chapped. The texture is very nice, smooth and not at all greasy. The smell/taste is very light, which is good as too much can be overpowering. It's a good option under other lip products due to it's lightness.

This product is absolutely useless. The highlighting side does nothing and the concealer side has no pigment at all. You put it one it just wipes off, no matter what I use to blend it. Not worth the little I paid for it.

Finally a drugstore foundation for cool pale skin tones.

I use this in Ivory 010 and it is perfect. For years I have been unable to find a drugstore foundation that didn't leave me looking yellow or too dark and this is it. It blends well. Is light on the face. Builds to medium coverage. And wears pretty well. I don't think it would work well for those with oily skin, at least not without an oil control primer.

Great product!

I use this under my eyes to brighten, around my brows to define, and to highlight my cheekbones. However it's greatest use is clean up. Over the day when my shadow or liner smears under my eye I can use this to wipe it away without having to wash off my makeup. I have never experienced this product to be dry or cakey and I have no issues blending it.

Not too yellow.

A lot of concealers are really too yellow for me. This one has more of a peach tone. Just enough to counteract under-eye shadows but not enough to leave me looking jaundiced. Works best with a bit of primer underneath and using a sponge to apply. Can be a touch dry.

Excellent under bright shadows

This pencil works wonderfully under bright shadows to make the colors really stand out and remain more true. The best part is, unlike many white pencils like this, this is not a frosted or sparkly shade but almost matte.

I do recommend using a primer under this as it can crease without one.

These are my new lip obsession. I love a good matte lip and these are perfect. Super pigmented with great bright colors that go on rich and smooth.

A couple of tips: Before applying let a coat of lip balm sink in to lips. Then apply a clear lip liner all over lips. This prevents the product from 'cracking'.

The one that converted me to lip pencils.

These are gorgeous lip pencils. They go on very smooth and have excellent pigmentation. The peppermint oil in them gives it a nice tingle, but not too strong, and a delicious smell. The colors lasts a very long time as it almost stains your lips.

These are a matte product so if you do not have smooth, moisturized lips they will look terrible. I suggest lightly exfoliating your lips and applying a lip balm before applying.

Excellent Spring Palette.

I decided to get this palette over the Theodora one because the colors in this were much more suited to spring/summer I felt. (Although in all honesty I will probably grab the Theodora one too.)

The products are the normal high quality you'd expect from Urban Decay. The shadows are a bit sheer but primer really helps with that and they really do give off the 'fairy witch' glow. The peach color works great as a highlighter across the cheekbones. The purple eyeliner is very pretty, although a bit smudgy. Again primer helps with this. The lip pencil is a sheer nude that is gorgeous on. I have a feeling I'll be buying more of this lip pencil in the future (it's simply a renamed Nude lip pencil from their collection).
