Beauty Product Reviews

Didn't like it at first, but i changed my mind

When I first got this product I has combination skin that was very acne prone and found that it turned my face into a grease ball. The foundation was put on a shelf and forgotten until last week when I went to a dermatologist and was given a new skin regimen for my acne that includes adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Suddenly plagued with dry skin, I found most of my go to products no longer worked. This foundation, however is perfectly moisturizing, and sits beautifully on my skin for up to 6 hours. So I'd say if you have normal-dry skin give this foundation a try, but combo/oily may find it too greasy.

Best brow gel

I don't use the treat end, and like the other elf products in this type of packaging I have tried, the black connector piece broke after a couple of months. However, the brow gel itself is FANTASTIC. Gives a bit of color without looking unnatural and holds the brows in place without making them hard like other brow gels on the market. Plus its $3.00.

Good product, horrible packaging

I use this more for the glow end than the concealer end. I've had this product since January and it is a fantastic highlighter. I dot it on top of the cheekbone and for me it looks far more natural than any other shimmery highlighter I've tried. The concealer end is okay. It doesn't crease horribly. The packaging concept is good, but I've been traveling with it a lot and the black connector bit (not sure what to call it) fell a apart, so now I have two separate vials of concealer and highlighter floating around in my makeup bag. For $3 though, I'm thrilled it lasted even that long and I still have plenty of product to go.

Sheer, super moisturizing, long lasting

The shade grapefruit goes on completely sheer, which is great because it can be worn over any lip color or on its own. I find it to be fantastic in winter for keeping my lips moisturized, WAY better than any lip balm I have ever tried.

Feather and Carved Rose

I have the quad of these blushes and love two out of four: feather and carved rose. I'm an NC20 and feather is a good peach for me and carved rose is an excellent pink blush. I use these daily either together, separately, or over a gel blush for extra flushed winter cheeks.

Opaque even with one coat.

I'm on study abroad and forgot to pack nail polish and picked up a bottle of this in #608 Dusty Rose. The polish dries quickly and goes on smoothly without streaks. I really like it! It it continues to hold up without chipping for the next few days I'll definitely get another color or two. Dusty Rose is a pinky brown nude in case anyone was curious.

Great for combination skin.

This mask works really well for me. It calms down the acne on my chin and doesn't dry out my dry cheeks. Once I wash it off I'm left with really soft skin. Plus it makes me a green lizard for 10-30 minutes, which is always an added bonus. I general get about 4 masks out of one pot of this, depending on how thick I lay it on.

Very sexy, a little powerful for everyday.

I love the way this smells. It's a gorgeous scent, very sexy, but I honestly find it too heavy for daily wear. I wear it for special occasions and occasionally for dates, ;). However, I don't think I'm ever going to repurchase this since I don't wear it everyday. I've been on the same bottle for four years now, it still smells just as good as the day I bought it.
