Lasts forever

I dye my hair jet black and it's hard to find an eyebrow powder to match. Black would look unnatural, but most dark browns have too much red in them. The Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Ebony is the closest I've come to perfection. I only use the darker of the two shades and it provides buildable colour that looks natural and lasts until I take it off. I bought mine a year and a half ago and am not even close to hitting pan yet--definitely a good investment!

Worth the money

Okay, the smell isn't that great, but I could not care less as this is the only moisturizer I've found that keeps away dry patches in the winter while also being light enough for use in the summer. At $78 for 4 oz it's more than a splurge but the jar lasts me around 8 months with near-daily use so it's a purchase I can justify.

Absolutely essential for lazy people

I hate how long it takes for me to wash/dry/style my hair, but thanks to Batiste I'm able to stretch the time in between washings by one more day (sometimes two...). This is my HG dry shampoo. I have the Tropical one and aside from smelling delicious, it absorbs oil effectively and with just a bit of tousling the white powder magically disappears in my jet black dyed hair. Amazing!

My second favourite

Light scent, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave any white in my black hair! For me it's second only to Batiste (which works the same but smells even better and is about a dollar cheaper).

Don't waste your money

Smells bad and leaves my black hair looking grey. Spend the extra few bucks on Batiste or Rockaholic and thank me the next time you oversleep and have no time to wash your hair.

A rare streak-free pastel

Ugh, yes. A perfect pastel blue that is reminiscent of cotton candy and lazy summer days. Nails Inc is fast becoming one of my favourite brands thanks to colours and formulas like this.

Last year's "It" polish for a reason

Flawfree, from the application (two coats and you're good to go) to the shade (incredibly vibrant cobalt). This is a must-have for any collection. Beyoncé's a fan, need I say more?

Good for one night only

Yes, you can get the same effect for much cheaper with supplies from a craft shop--but I'm lazy. I bought the set with black nail polish ("Ghetto Fabulous") and black/teal "caviar". The polish was a bit of a miss: too sheer, but not a problem as I was covering it with the caviar anyway. Application of the caviar was a breeze and the included funnel ensures you get the most out of the kit with minimal waste. The directions suggested sealing the tips with clear nail polish for durability, so I lightly dabbed some Seche Vite on but I'd skip it next time as it's kind of obvious and ugly (see image). The manicure lasted all night but 18 hours later a lot of the caviar had fallen off and it looked pretty janky. I don't see that as a negative--this is a look meant for a special occasion and should only be worn with the expectation that you'll be taking it off the next day.

Love the shade, hate the formula

This polish is a highly pigmented peach creme that would be perfect if it weren't for the tricky application. If I don't have the time or patience for three very thin coats each applied 5-10 minutes apart I will end up with a ruined manicure because this polish is rather thick and thus slow-drying. That said, it really is a gorgeous shade of peach--not too bright, not too pastel. Just wish it were easier to apply!
