A genre-bending lippie!

I was skeptical. I have a drawer of glosses & lip stuff. This one is unique - it's kind of like (bear with me here..) lip stick color + lip balm healthiness + nice gloss shine. It definitely has good color coverage, it's strong color like lipstick not the "sheen" of color I was expecting. However, the color - while pretty - isn't terribly long lasting. The built-in brush applies extremely smooth, and my lips feel moisturized & softened like when I use an all-natural balm. Furthermore, there's no tack or gloop or stickiness like with traditional "glosses". In fact, I really wouldn't consider this much of a gloss. I was prepared for that porn-star-gloss effect, which thankfully isn't here!

...... Do you see why I'm so confused tho?! gloss! balm! lipstick! it's rad!

only 2 downsides: 1) the tube isn't clear so i have NO idea how much i'm using up & when it'll be gone, and 2) the color doesn't last very long.

aside from that: big love! my mom got this in the most recent clinique gift set & gave it to me. i'm definitely gonna buy one in another color as well :)

I wanted to like it, but It's just... eh.

I loooove a good pocket-sized palette or collection. And I was stoked to find this one. I really like a few of the eye shadow colors: the pigmentation is good & they're smooth and blendable. The "army green" color looks like "gold that's vaguely green" on my eyes (I was disappointed about that). The lip glosses have NO pigmentation & they all look identical on me. "Sheer" gloss is great when I want it, but in a "Glamour to Go" kit I expected more dramatic coloring. The glosses are not gloopy or sticky, which is a plus. The blush is mediocre.

Final verdict: The eyeshadow pigmentation and color "staying power" is good, I use a few of them. The rest is totally immemorable. It lives in the drawer with the rest of the "eh" products.

So sweet & delicious!

I have gotten this in mini-tubes in various Benefit palette / collections and have always used them up! My favorite way to use it is a *small* beneath my eyebrow & on the top of my cheekbone. It definitely gives a fresh, dewy, natural sheen. It's NOT sparkley (which many highlighters are). C'mon, I'm not 13, I don't need sparkles (ok... well, not that often at least LOL). This Benefit Highbeam is in my daily makeup lineup - it's a reliable highlight that opens up my eyes & adds a little more dimension to my cheekbone. Yummylicious!

Evens out skin tones & spots

I tried this in Sephora today & fell in love! At 33, my skin coloring & tone isn't as even as it used to be - some little reddish spots, some sun spots, the usual. (Ah, to be 21 again & wear sunscreen!) My current Clinique foundation "Perfectly Real" is great, but doesn't even out the color tone like I want. So I tried this "Even Better" and LOVED IT. It definitely does what it says - and gave me even, *natural* looking skin. It wasn't thick or look like I was wearing foundation. I'm also happy that it's SPF 15 as well... in Florida, that's a big plus. I can't wait to buy this (next paycheck - I'm a tight-budget gal). At $23, it's a REALLY good deal considering most non-drugstore-brand foundations are in the $40 range.

Good! (Just use sparingly!)

I really like Lemon-Aid compared to comparable products. It applies smoothly and does exactly what it says to even your color. My advice is to use just a little dab on your eyelids. I have fair skin with pink undertones, so if I use too much Lemon-Aid, it looks like I have crayon yellow eyeshadow on! As they say: "your mileage may vary" especially considering how different everyone's skin and tones are.

This lives in my purse.

I don't carry a ton of makeup around in my purse, but this one is ALWAYS there. It's perfect for 3pm in the office, getting off a long plane flight, etc - it's the perfect perk-up for my tired eyes. It does have a cooling effect & feels moisturizing as well. It is not, however, a replacement for under-eye concealer, if that's what you're looking for. But if your under-eyes are feeling tired & kinda lackluster, then this is for you!

BLEHHH, red inside your purse!

I should buy stock in Benefit based on my purchases. BUT this one is a total "miss" for me. I like Benetint for it's cheek-stain loveliness. But the lovely red liquid isn't well contained by the duo stick. No matter how much I'd twist it shut, it'd leak in my purse. Also: the lip gloss is icky-sticky-gloopy-glue. I carried it for 3 days. Used it twice. Had to throw the purse AND the Benetint Pocket pal away. And then wiped the gloopy-gloss off my face .... WAHH!!! I love Benefit, but this sucks :(

The Best

Nothing beats Tweezerman. I have the slant and fine point steel ones, and a pink mini slant (that lives in my purse). I believe you can send them back in for sharpening as well (don't quote me on that, but I think you can). No ripping, ouchy nastiness... just tweezerman awesomeness.

Solid drugstore find, I have 2

I have 2 of these Maybelline quads, and just like everyone else who has reviewed them, I also like that the color pigment is always good and that they blend easily. I have 2 & they're in my regular rotation.

THE best blonde brow pencil

It's tough finding a brow pencil that's good for blonde... I adore this, absolutely worth the price. I won't tell you about the time I got the brush tangled in my hair though.... that was my problem & no reflection on the product LOL
