Beauty Product Reviews

Great color and texture

Aqua is a dream to apply: smooth and creamy! The color payoff is great too; like many others have said, I don't need to go over the line for the color to be vibrant. Also, once the liner sets, it stays! There's no creasing or smudging, especially when applied over a primer. Unfortunately, I find that Aqua stains my lids, so I'm not going to give it a full five stars. But I still really like it and will try the other colors as well.

Does its job, but bad packaging

I have been using this on-and-off for about four years now. It does a good job of drying out acne. However, I have a problem with its rollerball packaging. I have found that as you use it, the rollerball will collect small flakes of skin and roll it back into the bottle, which leads to residue from your face building up inside the bottle. This is not only unsanitary, but I worry that the formula might become compromised over time because of this.

Doesn't clear breakouts, drying

I have been using this once a day for about six months now. I find that it dries out my slightly combination skin and makes it feel uncomfortably tight. This alone would've been okay though, as I just put on lotion immediately after use, but I also don't think it helps clear my acne. I still get breakouts mainly on my forehead and occasionally on my cheeks and chin.

Great value, great texture, great brush

After trying this gel liner, I don't find the need to spend more money on higher-end gel liners. Blackest Black applies smoothly and evenly, with good pigmentation and wear. A little goes a long way but it is also easily build-able. As if all of this isn't good enough, the included brush is amazing. I've had this gel liner for about eight months now. The consistency has gotten less creamy, but it still works really well for me.
