Louise Gray

LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

We love the innovative, funky fashions seen at Louise Gray's London show. MAC makeup artist James O'Riley took the playful exploration of color to the face. "It is about Louise herself and her makeup... free and experimental. It is a play of metallic colours, reflecting the collection," said James.

Makeup

James applied MAC Face & Body Foundation with MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, but only used them as needed to perfect the skin. MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder was lightly dusted over the face for a polished, matte finish. He contoured underneath the cheekbones with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Foundation, and blended the high planes of the face with MAC Pro Emphasize Shaping Powder Pro Palette. James then mixed MAC Pro Platinum and Rose Gold Metal Pigments with MAC Fix + and swept across the eyelids. MAC Pro Hi-Def Cyan Chromaline was curved and swept upwards from the lash line. James curled lashed and groomed brows, lastly blending MAC Pro Dim Lip Erase over lips to lightly conceal and neutralize lip colour.

Hair

L'Oreal stylist Luke Hersheson's created a "glamorously tough" effect by setting hair on u-shaped pins formed in figure eights. Luke set the look by spraying almost and entire can of Infinium 4 on each model. Then, Luke removed pins and piled hair on top of head, with loose tendrils hanging down for some "structure chaos."
