LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

Just like the bright blue lips seen at Richard Chai, Mary Katranzou went for technicolor on the clothes as well as the face. "Chaos of colors," noted MAC makeup artist Val Garland on the makeup. "It's all about odd colours and the rest of the face is very clear and fresh."

Val applied MAC Face & Body Foundation and MAC Select Moisturecover on the skin where needed. MAC Cream Colour Base in Luna and Pearl were mixed together and blended over the upper cheekbones to highlight. Brows were groomed but kept natural. To keep the focus on the lips, Val blended MAC Pro White Full Coverage as a base, then layered MAC pigments in Old Gold, Rose, Teal, Violet, MAC Pro Acid Orange, MAC Pro Electric Coral, and MAC Pro Chartreuse over the entire lip provide several different versions.
