I've got a lot of yucky illnesses going around in my classroom (pneumonia, bronchitis, fifths disease, and strep throat) so I'm spraying down everything pretty much after use for the next two weeks!

I'm using 91% isopropyl alcohol, cost me maybe $4 for a 32 oz and my Beauty So Clean wipes and what not which they well here on BL.

Spraying the 91% alcohol onto the makeup directly and letting it dry. For my lipsticks I wipe them with the beauty so clean wipes.

I actually clean my makeup so often, like 3 times a week maybe more depending on if I wear it everyday or every other day! But I agree, it is definitely important. 💕

I've seen actual products designed to spray on makeup for disinfecting, but I've honestly never done this. I'm gross. You don't notice any consistency change after adding alcohol?

I just disinfected mine two days ago using the same technique as Erin. I also clean my make up brushes and sponges at least once a month using a brush cleansing solution.

Rachel, no... alcohol evaporates. Just make sure you let your cosmetics dry.

@Rachel - Nope, not at all. Everything's dry in like three minutes or less. Cleaned my brushes the same way, except I dipped and swirled them in the alcohol, and they're just as soft as they always were. The color of the alcohol after I cleaned my foundation brush was disgusting as I've always spray cleaned it and had even soap and water cleaned it last week, and I've only worn BB cream twice since then! I was really surprised.
