Yeah so now I have pieces growing so much shorter than the rest and I know I should just get it all cut but I won't dare
That piece always finds it's way to stick up and I get made fun of a lot so definetely think before you act

Wash it everyday. I have incredibly thick, fine, curly kinky hair , and that was FAR from what I needed... But it was also coming from my full white mother who wasn't very educated on how to take care of hair like mine, even though she still did a damned good job of it when I was younger!

@janelle and @leslie ah that must have been horrible! And ikr like it's so acidic it damages so bad haha I don't know how it would possibly make my hair healthier

To shave baby hair😑
Seriously what kind of advice is that.
True, I should have had the sense to not do it, but in my infinite wisdom, I did.
So now I constantly catch people staring at my stubby baby hair that doesn't look like baby hair anymore because I shaved it for about a year then let it grow back. Don't ever do it.

A hair dresser told me to put peanut butter in my hair to help remove knots, it helped a little bit but not really :/

I agree with the cutting baby hairs! I have a natural widows peak and back in middle school my classmates liked to actually touch it and like press it against my forehead to make it more dramatic. They were just joking but I got super insecure about it and cut it off and shaved the rest in 7th grade. I'm currently a sophomore and it has almost fully grown back. Do not shave it, it takes forever to grow back and looks hideous in the process.

The braid technique works, just don't make the braids too tight.. That's actually good advice!

I have really curly hair and someone cut my hair in really short bangs which looked shorter when it dried up. I had to do this ugly up-do to hide it. Sixth grade was a horrible year.

Having my hair layered & thinned. Curly hair should NOT be layered or thinned. It's meant to be thick. & there's NOTHING wrong with that. I used to hate it. But now I loveee my thick curly hair. :)
