My skin sometimes gets dry , I've black and white heads and a few spots and scars. I am currently using cream from a doctor for over a year and my skin hasn't improved drastically. I was wondering when I turn 18 will it improve?

18? Eh not really I don't think. When people say it gets clear with age they mean like in your 20s lol. I'm 19 and right now my skin has never been worse. Were still teenagers and our body is still going thru it so all we can do is wait I guess

Whoops I only read the title. Your skin does get better as you get older because as Emily said the hormones aren't going as crazy but it doesn't just magically clear up when you turn 18 (I wish it did). What skin type do you have and what's your skin care routine?

It's not that it necessarily gets better, but rather the issues you have with skin and its needs change. Adult acne is a problem for many women, for example.
Many women see a derm as they get older and focus more on health as knowledge grows over time. Trial and error of younger days leads to being more cautious and older women focus lots on prevention rather than dealing with direct issues..so your needs and routines change.
