@Emily...I couldn't agree with you more about La Mer. But I do have to admit that their lip balm is tha bomb. Luckily I gifted one along with my MIL as I couldn't dare drop $50 on it myself. Not when I have a close dupe with my Lypsyl.

I haven't tried the eyeshadow but its been on my list for quite awhile..
I actually like the one lime crime lipstick I have. n the pink velvet liquid lipstick but I havent been Able to purchase anything else since reading the full back story. hmm. so I passed on utopia eventho I was awaiting its release.

I find limecrime waaaay overrated. I mean with how crappy the "owner" is and all the scandals that have happened I don't know why people still buy from her. Plus the few products I've tried (eyeshadow, liner and lipstick) I really wasn't impressed, especially for the price. They seemed like cheap drugstore brands that make you pay more for pretty packaging.
I think Kat Von d's live is quite underrated. At least here, whenever I go to try or buy one of her products the sephora girls are always like "I'm sure you'd like ____ much better" without actually giving valid reasons. I mean her eye shadows are comparable (or better in my opinion) to UD and Mac. And her liquid lipsticks are to die for. But every time I mention her line around here I get told to try other things lol.

Jacqueline: yessss! Completely agree about the UD primer and spray. My eyeshadow creased to holy hell when I tried those two products; didn't even last an hour! I'll sick with my $1 e.l.f. primer that keeps my shadows in place for (literal) days.
Another overrated brand (in my opinion) is La Mer. They have a completely made up back story and really their formulas aren't that special. They charge an arm and a leg for what? A story? FAIL.

If you have any eos just laying around, I suggest to use them as lip primers, thats one thing that they for sure work for likw it seriously prevents feathering ;)

Overrated: Anastasia brow products; I honestly don't think there as good as people make it out to be. Also beauty blenders; it's soooo hyped and it literally is a makeup sponge with a different shape, nothing too special and it's ridiculously priced! And Nars blush... Elf has several dupes that match Nars in shade and almost in formula.
Underrated: Rimmel eyeliner, Almay products and EOS also. Also anything by elf is really underrated!

Underrated: Milani lipsticks! These are some of the best lipsticks I have tried from the drugstore. Super creamy, pigmented, and affordable for someone on a budget
Overrated: I was not at all impressed with any items from the Revlon Nearly Naked line - horrible consistencies, bad wear time, appeared extremely cakey and unnatural on the skin, etc.

Underrated:
Flirt cosmetics lipsticks, (been using since middle school lol). Tarte airbrush foundation powder. Jordana best lash extreme, nyx liquid illuminator (the born to glow one). Physicians formula kohl kajal liners, mica pigments, And of course my fave product of all time: Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream lip balm
Overrated:
Hard candy baked bronzer in tiki, naked palletes, benefits porefessional, ecotools face brushes, Essie nail polishes

@Fashion B weirdly I don't find it all that difficult to take off. I just find it super clumpy no matter how I apply it, and I have plenty of budget £2 even options that I much prefer! Don't get me wrong, I'll use it up, but it won't be a repurchase for me.

Underrated:
MUA, I love the brand so much! And it's cheap!
NYX Lipsticks. I have 20 and love each and every one of them.
Mally Cosmetics. So pigmented, long wearing and worth the price.
BareMinerals. Same as Mally Cosmetics.
Liz Earle skincare. Definitely my favourite skincare brand.
Overrated:
Maybelline. Never had a good experience with any of their products.
Vaseline. Might as well put oil on you.

Yeah I agree on the MAC foundations. There's nothing "light" or "natural" about them lol they are for those that like a lot of coverage. I have the ProLongwear concealer and it's still full because even if I use just a bit, it still gets cakey! Their lipsticks are good and the MAC Fix+, I also want to try their eyeshadows, eyeliner and skin care line

I totally agree about thrift stores - I have so many lovely, interesting, unique pieces that I've thrifted and I just love them!
Underrated: pretty much any essence product and the mua highlighters. A lot of Seventeen products like the highlighter and the lipsticks are awesome!
Overrated: Benefit - I just don't get the hype. The they're real mascara does no more for me than a cheaper one would, and feels like a waste of money!

Overrated I agree with mac foundations just horrible in any formula though I'm a huge mac fan I loathe there foundation.
underrated sleek makeup although it takes along time to get my order here in the states the wait is worth it in my opinion there eye devine pallets are comparable to marc jacobs eye pallets which I find horrible as well (:
