Long wearing glosses/lipsticks?

Nyx matte lip creams! love them:) also the butter glosses stay on pretty long, what I like to do is use a lip liner as an all over color since they last way longer and then a very very small amount of chapstick/lipgloss so they won't look too dry.

Hi Shannie! Have you tried a lipstick sealant? You apply this over any lipstick and it will last for hours! You can find them in a lot of places relatively cheap ($1.00-$8.00). That way you don't really have to use just one lipstick for those long nights.

I also love the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks but would also like to suggest her star studded lipsticks. I got a mini star studded lippie in the shade Lolita the other day and am loving it so far!

Hi shannie,

I don't really care for stains but I'm with you. I need something to last mainly due to my daughter always grabbing on me n smearing traditional lipstick on me in some way.

I like lime crime but I'm into bold colors. other brands that offer similar results but more color options are kvd (which was mentioned n you can't get, I follow) but do you gave stila avail?. their 24 hr stay all day lipstick is the same as lime crime velvetines. they dry matte and last thru. the colors are more wearable for daily use. my only complaint is they can b drying so I don't wear mine daily. just for a.Saturday out or randomly thru the wk..


and I was going to say the same thing. kitty, which sealants have you tried. I've been wanting to get one myself.

I agree about the Maybelline Super Stain colors. They really do last FOREVER, but prepping your lip by exfoliating and moisturizing really helps keep the color :)))

I don't know about the gloss but yhe liquid lipstick works fine.
I gave fiore (bright pink. not your thing prob) aria (berry) and one if the basic reds. I plan to get more when my wallet agrees. :)

I've heard good and bad about the gloss tho..

I've found that liquid lipsticks that dry matte stay longer than anything else. Stila, KVD, Hourglass, OCC lip tars, Sephora brand all have great staying power but the MUFE Aqua Rouge is by far the best. It's almost too good because this product is VERY HARD to get off (that's a disclaimer lol).

Another option is a top coat to put over your lipstick. I use Anna Sui Lip Color Top Coat, which I got right here from Beauty

I bought a Stila recently, but it didn't wear evenly. I need to give a proper application a shot. I agree that Kat has nice lasting lipcolors.

I've actually use lip sealant as I had mention before on numerous threads I highly recommend. They're wonderful and a must for lasting power.They actually run as low as $3 and up in cost and can be found in all drugstores stores or beauty supply stores but are usually hidden.Almost all high end also carries some to.I like Sealed with a kiss it's been around for 20 years and I'm still hooked on it :-) Other brands like Lipcote, model in a bottle,Elf, Sally Hansen,NYC, Ben Nye and many more have it as well.It seals matte and you only need to apply lightly.:-)
