Do you feel that what's on the inside affects what's on the outside?
Yes. Whether its eating well and taking care of yourself, and being confident and accepting who you are... It will show through!
Even those with the coldest hearts and bad personalities affect their appearance - cause once they speak it shows how they really look like!

Yess! Where I'm from is technically considered the ghetto. A lot of girls here have very very bad attitudes and a lot of them are so beautiful but when that mouth open , lord they're not that pretty anymore. I'll admit I used to be like that but when I started acting better I realized how much more good I felt about myself

@Mio
My middle school was like that. As to much if you were in anyone's way they'd cuss at you and tell you to move. It was a constant battle lol. When I went to high school since I applied to a magnet school - they would always refer to it as the 'rich kid school' and I expected same attitude just well dressed people and I was so surprised when people would bump into me and say sorry. Especially since my usual reactions was to give a hard look and cuss! LMFAO

Of course... From eating well to how your personality is.. I feel that there could be the most beautiful girl ever and she could have the nastiest personality it would make her ugly and an okay lookig girl with a great personality and that would make her even more attractive.. Lol.

I think genuinely kind people have a certain glow about them. THAT is what true beauty is. The kind that works its way from the inside out. "No amount of makeup can mask an ugly heart."

Yes I think if your beautiful but have a bad/mean attitude it shows through and affects how you look. My mom always told me if I have a ugly attitude towards everyone all that beauty is for nothing because beauty starts within yourself. When I used to get mad and get attitudes with clher she would hold a mirror up to me and tell me look how by attitude could make me look ugly lol. I had the worst attitude ever Like I was mad at the world but I changed my whole attitude C: so happy I did.

YES! I don't care how pretty your face is, if what comes out of your mouth is nasty then being pretty on the outside doesn't matter at all.

Lmao I have the same thing when I go into a 'rich' neighborhood , I'm like oh they have money so they will probably be more snooty but they're usually so nice. The same thing goes for makeup stores too. When I go to one around me the women there are just ugh. But when I go to the big mall the people make me never want to leave lol.

I agree with you ladies! You will harvest what you plant. If you're always eating junk food, you can't wonder why you have so little energy and so many cravings. If all of your thoughts all negative, it will reflect in your actions and the way you treat others, and ultimately determines the quality of your life. I love this saying I read recently: "A negative mind will never give you a positive life."

I agree with you in your post statement! On a beauty standpoint, if I don't have my makeup, hair, nails and clothes just right..my whole day is just so depressing lol. I feel so self-conscious and I don't feel good. It just irritates me so much. I can't even deal with chipped nails without immediately repainting them when I get home. Kind of OCD about my appearance.

^ dangit, but post makes no sense without saying "For me, the outside weighs on how I feel on the inside just as much as vice versa."

Most definitely!
There are people who are (by popular belief), absolutely beautiful, but I cannot even think of them as such if they are cruel, condescending, or ignorant. Someone could have unfavorable personality traits (not so smart, obnoxious, stubborn, insert anything here really), but as long as they have redeeming qualities towards other such as kindness, compassion, respect, or grace that's totally different..it makes someone who isn't so attractive seem as such because they are just so lovely. I think me viewing someone as beautiful it has to do with how they treat others. Even if I'm having a terrible day and nothing is going well, I never take it out on others because I feel like that can (help to) redeem whatever not so great vibes I may be giving off.
I also feel like the care given to ones health or effort in appearance is also a factor. Health and overall wellness is definitely important and really shows how much someone cares about themselves. Effort in appearance also helps. I kinda hate using examples like this, but its just so easy so I will: I'm quite heavy and not very attractive, but my best friend is exceptionally beautiful and thin (yes, she models)... but when we go out, if I'm making an effort to look nice/presentable (do my hair and makeup or at least wear a thoughtful outfit) and she's just in loungewear or street clothes; I'm the one getting compliments and having questions asked about beauty products or clothing. I feel like when you don't make an effort, it looks like you don't take care of yourself or care about your well being, which is quite off putting.

I'm also with you Symone, if I don't think I look very good, it kinda bums me out. I don't go all out on hair or makeup everyday, but if I just don't feel good about how I'm presenting myself, it can really bring down my mood. And as you said, vice versa, if I'm feeling a little glum, but I get all pretty and put on a great outfit, it almost always turns my day around!

That actually reminds me, one day I left ABC Channel on all night and some man known as Joel Osteen came on. ( I guess he's a preacher? I'm not religious so I have no idea. )
He was so inspiring though, just listening to him talk about appearance. I'm trying to quote what he said but it was so long ago. But he basically discussed ( in a religious manner of course but I do like the idea. ) That we should always give 100% to everything we do. It makes us feel better and it shows God that you are giving 100% to life, so go out and get a pedicure, go out and put on the pretty dress you only put on once a year just to run errands! There is nothing wrong with pampering ourselves! We do deserve to be pampered!

I do believe that what's on the inside reflects what's on the outside a hundred percent. However, I do think I'm a nice person (most of the time😈) But I do look like a , pardon my language but a bitch. My face just sets in a mean poubty look. However, I do try really hard to be nice and helpful (I do give my honesty when asked) so I hope that reflects on the outside. Girls at my school are really really pretty, but they are like golden apples with rotten middles. They point out everyone's flaws as if they don't have their own, (everyone does, face it) , and I just can't help but marvel at the fact that someone can be so damned superficial, and cold hearted. I can however, understand. I totally agree with getting pretty! We need to! It's a big stress reliever, and a confidence booster! Put on that red lipstick and strut because face it, you're fabulous.
