Okay, so I just spent 15 minutes reading this entire thread, and I just want to applaud everyone. This is the type of thread I really enjoy. Informative and intriguing, and brings us together as a beauty family. As for how BL has personally influenced my Youtubing and stuff, well let me tell you there is a huge difference. I don't even really watch many videos anymore. I can tell you from personal experience that Youtubers are definitely misleading. I came onto BL a little over a year ago still thinking a gradient eye was a smokey eye, because Youtube taught me so. Now I have reverted to buying books, I just feel that it is more reliable. I still do research because just as everything, makeup trends change and new things are invented, but for the most part I feel it would be more beneficial to learn the old fashioned way, especially after seeing the loads of knowledge shared with the beauties here. So thank you BL, Beauties. and all you makeup artists like Alma and my makeup Mommy Jackie. I have learned soo much and I don't know where I'd be now on my journey to learn, had I not met you all.

Well it took me forever to read all the thread but I loved every comment. I can say I came about what 2ish years ago thinking I new a bit about makeup but really I'm still a total newbie and I have grown so much I wish that people would stop listening to these gurus and worse buying there products when they really aren't doing it right.

Oh and I wish someone would do a campaign of something about all the really really no nos of makeup. Like good idea contour with a cool greyish tone product bad idea contouring with a bronzer etc.and show the complete difference looking flawless and looking 'flawless' but you can tell you have 3 foundations and 3 bronzers and stuff.

Holy smokes!! Betsy that was beyond awful.I fainted and got back up...she looked like she had a Lego shaped face! Everything was all wrong..Someone please help my eyes from that makeup disaster!
