I can't deal with some of the Insta faces. Maybe because I see it differently,I see skill before color of cosmetic's but that's just me. I truly think they took it to another level because working with faces I know truly what that looks like in person and if a camera can't hide that it's far beyond bad in real life.

I have also seen these in a magazine! I was like what?! Your giving the wrong idea about these things to people who don't know! And because its a magazine people believe it to be true like why would this well known magazine be wrong? ughhhh.

That is a valid point, Alma. The editing can be a trip! Those cameras don't play. My dslr picks up everythinggggg on my face and it is funny now they suddenly have just perfect glowing skin using the same kind of camera. Hmmmm 😏

They sit there and find ways to manipulate the photos to just show face for likes. I promise you in a year or two people will catch on and this will be something that people will look back at and think about the makeup mishaps.I miss Pretty Makeup just down right fresh beautiful makeup. The Mass of Bold face has taken over that and by bold I don't mean colors of eye shadows I mean chiseled Block faces and highlighted overload and poop streak contour to the point it's taking over a face and making the makeup wear you not you wearing the makeup.

I guess I'm the odd ball out :/ lol I enjoy using bronzer for contouring there's no rules for how you want to wear your makeup, if it looks good what's the problem!?
I do agree how you can't trust the media and stuff like that they will say whatever to get you to do dumb stuff

You could use what ever you want But as a person who does makeup you see things differently the way makeup sets or looks is important for us, tho it may not be for the norm of everyday person and that's fine. That's why I always say a MUA and a person who likes to wear Makeup speak two different languages we just see things most don't but that doesn't mean you have to listen to us you could wear or use what you want.

@noelle your right there's no rules for how You (in general) want to where your makeup, but there is rules on how to use makeup, everyone has there on oppinion on what looks good and what dosent, and a MUA nows what good makeup is and isnt, point is everyone sees things differently

@alma yes ustart seeing everything and startrhinking WTF is thaf lol
We makeup lovers need to stick together I'm tired of seing repost and selfie threads its threads like this that make beautylish such a beautiful place, a place where we can talk all this crazy makeup stuff an actually understand eachother and help eachother out, thats why we need to reinforce the rules and tell eachother when something is in the wrong place or is not even supposed to be in beautylish or are repost cuz threads like this get lost and won't be seen cuz of people not following the rules, I'm tired of seeing those one word threads pretty, nice, beautiful, really? Some people take this site as if it was facebook or pintrest and post pics of them selfs everyday, I'm like dam I don't need to see your makeup every dam day acting like I'm here to see you, nope sweetie thats not the case lol and top of that dosent post there makeup used so if I do like something I can't even get the product and then when you ask they never reply unless you comment on how "good" they look, these girls need to get over them selfs and realize that this is a place to talk from beauty lovers to beauty lovers its not about likes and followers we need to keep having these beautiful conversations like the one on this thread cuz thats what its about, sorry for my rant lol

Oh Alma, I watched this video a day or two ago of a woman using Illamasque Rich Liquid Foundation (I researched this before I bought it, don't google the videos, they'll make you cry) to contour and highlight. Dear god. I've never been so sad in my life. I'll try and find it for you.

I think it's one of the most mis-used foundations on youtube. I saw another video of this girl pouring out a huge glob of it and rubbing it on her face, then putting more on while complaining that she hated the foundation because it looks cakey.

I don't not know Lili but she was using a very high coverage foundation so you know it looked even ten times worse in real life haha
