I'm desperate! It's currently 32'C/90'F. Problem is, I have to attend a fundraising luncheon at my church tomorrow, and it's supposed to be even hotter then. How can I do my makeup so I don't look like a total greasy mess? I feel like any makeup is going to melt right off my face, and I need it to last at least a few hours. Thanks guys!

90 degrees! Wow it's snowing here haha. You should use a good primer and setting powder! Also a setting spray. Water proof eyeliner and mascara. I love the rocket by maybelline. Also if you are really worried about it sweating off, just carry a little setting powder around with you in your purse for touch ups :) that's what I do after gym lol!

Where do you live? Oh my. Our snow is finally melting but it's still chilly. Like others suggested a primer, to prolong the life of your makeup, a setting spray to set it. Waterproof everything!!

I'd use a good primer, stick with BB cream or CC cream..maybe a tinted moisturizer rather than foundation. Keep it light, use a setting spray...and keep a little can of Evian spray in your purse and blotters. You can also wear a cute bandana pinup style. Have fun!

So I went to a convention in Baltimore last summer in 90 degree weather and was in a building with literally thousands of people in costumes big and small, this was my makeup saver combo that kept my face in place from 8am to 2am.
- Smashbox Photofinish Primer (Sephora sells minis)
- Urban Decay Primer Potion (eyes)
- Foundation (MUFE at the time)
- Makeup Forever HD Setting Powder (Sephora sells a mini bottle that has lasted me forever)
- Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (Sephora sells a mini of this)
Even my blush was on my face still by the end of the day.

I live in FL where it's always hot and humid. Get a good face and eye primer. Smashbox Photofinish or Rimmel Stay Matte are 2 of my go to's. Eye Primer I use Urbsn Decay Primer Potion or NYX Eye Primer. Now, the best product: Urban Decay The All Nighter Spray. Amazing stay put power!

So I've been using primer, concealer, powder and blush on my face.. No foundation because hot weather makes me lazy hahah, but if you have lots of things you want to cover on your face or really oily skin, use a foundation that helps control it. :) Also waterproof mascara and eye pencil (if you use it), and I don't recommend gloss, choose a regular lipstick you like and that doesn't smudge :l.

Try a long wearing foundation like MAC Pro Longwear which really does last long! Or you can get a powder puff with some corn starch and put a generous amount and leave it on for a couple of minutes to really set your makeup and then get a big brush and brush off the excess powder.

For liner I would recommend a gel liner I heard maybelines is good but I havent tried it, put a primer, foundation, setting powder and a setting spray I would recommend a finishing spray which is like glue for your makeup but you have to order it on line but keep that setting spray with you where ever you go and also use a eye primer and waterproof mascara

Woooooow! You're so lucky it's that warm! Wanna trade spots? We have like 19 inches of snow where I am!! You should try using a setting spray and/or a primer. You could also go out and invest in water proof makeup, which is what I use in the summer.

Thank you guys so much! You've all been very helpful and I'll definitely be using your tips. And for those of you asking, I live in South Africa...but snow sounds pretty great right now haha!
Fernanda, wow! That's hot. Some places in my country get that warm too, but thankfully I live in a city with milder weather, and this is just a passing heatwave (or we'd never survive lol!)
Erin, I feel claustrophobic just thinking about that lol! And thanks for all of the recommendations; Smashbox is the only brand readily available here, but I've been debating ordering the UD setting spray even though shipping is a fortune. Do you think it's worth it?
Kendra, just say the word and we can do like a Beautylish exchange program ;) Wouldn't that be something though? In my city, if you want to see snow you have to drive into the mountains at the peak of winter.

Waterproof makeup is the key! make sure everything you wear is waterproof - mascara, eyeliner, concealer everything - I like kat von d's line and MUFE for foundation n concealer products and the tarte 12 hour setting powder really does just that and then for setting spray I like UD all nighter and skindinavia.
