I've read that you can mix lip gloss with eye shadow to make any color lipstick you can imagine, but whenever I try to mix powder with liquid it ends up goopy and unpleasant. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i think the trick is to go heavier on the gloss because it gets a weird texture with the shadow mixed in. your gloss will turn out more sheer but it beats the weird texture lol

What are you using to mix it in? Are you stirring it in a pot? That's usually what can cause clumps and a weird texture...
If you want a smooth and even consistency, use a palette knife and a metal palette to mix your colors. You can scrape up what you've mixed and put it into a container when done, and using the palette knife, you can flatten out the clumps and make sure everything is evenly mixed. =)
