so ive decided to become an artist on the side as i attend uni, I am not the wealthiest at the moment so i wanted to know if anyone knows of any CHEAP ways to acquire a full range of foundations. Maybe drugtore brands???

Revlon Colorstay is a great foundation to get, since its drugstore its not too expensive, but its still a great foundation. You don't want to get the cheapest foundation you can get because you want to use something thats going to work. You also don't have to get every foundation color, you can get like every other foundation or every two foundation colors and then you can custom mix to match your client/model.

I agree with Jeny! Also, the up front money to start a kit is going to be expensive period regardless of buying inexpensive products. I suggest that if you don't have eyeshadows to go for inglot palettes because you can custom pick colors and they are less expensive when thy are sold in the freedom system.

You can get a Foundation Palette... http://shop.cinemasecrets.com/face/ultimate-foundation-palette.html
This palette is $24 for about 6 colors. So if you break it down it's very reasonable. And this palette has some great reviews.

Graftobian palettes are pretty awesome - they use them on the set of LAW & ORDER SVU, and Mariska Hargitay looks like she's getting YOUNGER and YOUNGER with each episode that airs!

GRAFTOBIAN super palettes is a PLUS. It might not look like a lot of product but a very tiny bit goes a LONG way. They are about $60 but very well worth it because it comes with around 17 shades of cream foundations. Which also can be used as concealers : )

I also recommend purchasing a color corrector set. There are many kinds - cream and liquid - and if you end up using liquid foundation you should get a liquid color corrector. I bought one from Coastal Scents after seeing Koren use it and now can't imagine not having it in my life.

If you end up one day using an airbrush machine I know Dinair also has them.
