Michelle B.
Hey there. I was wondering if you all could help me!
So in my area, there are 3 options for going to school in the business of aesthetics. There is the local college, which is a year long program but it focuses more on haircutting, but I'm not too into being a hairdresser - aka I suck when it comes to hair. Not to mention the school is on the other side of town and I don't drive (I've been putting it off, I don't know why), but there is always the option for public transportation. It costs around $6000 a semester.
Another school that I've looked into is the closest one to where I live. It focuses more on makeup and nails (my favourites) as well as spa techniques and waxing, etc. It is a "fast track" 6 month course and it's around $4000 less than the college.
The last school I didn't really look into that much because, like the first one, it is too far away and it works mostly with hair. It does give you the option to do just the nail course or just the makeup course but I don't think you get any kind of certificate if you do them separately.
So what I want to know is did any of you go to school for makeup? Which of the 3 do you think would be best?

i think if you are looking into doing makeup over hair i would go with the second option.
