Ok what won't you spend money on

I can justify a splurge here or there but I won't spend more than 9 bucks on a nail polish to me it doesn't make sense what beauty items won't you spend top dollar for?

i wanted Nars orgasm/laguna duo for months and months and months and i just couldnt justify the $70 price tag for it! but luckily i was able to find a way to purchase it from the US so i got the orgasm/albotros/laguna limited edition set for only $55, which i was willing to spend.
Also alot of MAC products i cant justify buying in australia either. $32 for 1 shadow, $47 for MSF, $36 for a lipstick..

I generally don't splurge on expensive mascara, since I replace it every 8 weeks. I've gotten mascaras as consideration, but there's no way I'm spending $25-30 on something that I'm going to toss out after 2 months!

Mascara and eye cream. Drug store mascaras are just as good as cosmetic counter mascara's. Eye cream is the same thing as a face cream except in a smaller container with a higher price tag. Cosmetic companies make big money on eye creams so they really push people to buy them insisting it's necessary.

Face primer. It can be on the pricier side than my foundation. O.O!
I found the perfect alternative that works just as well: Aloe Vera Gel. =)

I don't mind splurging on tools and staples... [mascaras included, my lashes are finicky]

I can def. cheap out on eyeshadows and blushes. I can't fathom buying into the Chanel and Dior stuff or high-end lipsticks when I can get the same colors from a drugstore... [although I'd love to add a few Tom Ford lipsticks to my collection].

Face primer! I dont really need it and it just seems like it is wayyy over priced.

Mascara! Unless I hear many many great reviews about it, I'd rather spend my money on a high end foundation or some eyeshadows. I don't use a lot of them, but I occasionally add to my collection when Im out. But for mascara, I feel that when it comes down to it, there are a lot of very nice drugstore mascaras out there for a fraction of the price and the only difference a high end mascara makes (if it does) is very minimal, and overall isnt worth the extra money.

Overall I think it depends on what you want from your makeup. If you love eyeshadows, then splurge on those. If your a blush fan, then splurge on those. And whatever you arent big into, buy the drugstore version. Check out emilynoel83 youtube!! she gives lots of drugstore dupes in many of her videos, and she has really helped me save money!!

A shimmery face highlight. I would never cash out on that.

Unless I found some amazing out of this world product, I don't splurge on mascara, blush, or nail polish. My lashes are sooo easy to work with so I don't really need to splurge on that. I'm not a big blush wearer and drugstores have really pretty colors. And I hardly wear nail polish because we can't wear it at work so there's really no point in buying like a Butter London nail polish

My answer used to be mascara... but I recently discovered a Tarte mascara that has beaten out all my former drugstore favs! I agree about nailpolish: I think OPI prices are my limit but then again if a really crazy unique shade came out and it was more expensive I might splurge :p

I won't buy anything that I can't get a discount on or that's cheap. lol

I would say mascara, and face primer since I now have a cheaper alternative, also lip products, unless I am B2M to get them, I just get drug store brands

Anything and everything that goes over $15. I cant explain why but thats just my frugal price limit for EVERYTHING. Bells and whistles go off in my brain when I see anything over that price.

For instance buying an Urban Decay eyelid primer was such an ordeal. Everytime I would go stand in front of the display and pick it up and immediately put it back lol. I finally decided to give in and try it out because there was so much praise for it that I could justify spending $19.

I won't splurge on lip products. It's probably because I already have so many shades and companies that I love (all drugstore or NYX), and I very rarely wear lipstick or lip gloss, but I just can't justify doing it.

I think that it would have to be eyelashes. I buy them in bulk and it comes out to $1 per set. There are a lot of lashes out there that can be duped for the highend ones and to only use them 1-2 times and toss. Not worth splurging on them. And the ones that I have purchased I find to be better that the more pricey ones : )

I won't splurge on mascara. I toss my mascara every 2-3 months, so I won't spend more than $20.00 on that product.

I won't splurge on lashes, mascara, lipstick and nailpolish. At least I won't splurge anymore. Drugstore or other inexpensive brands work just as great as the high end ones.

mascara. i rarely get through the ENTIRE tube of mascara so i'd be really torn up to be throwing away a $30 tube just because it gives a nice effect. i've found drugstore mascaras that i really like so i'm not going to splurge :)

but i also haven't found myself splurging on foundation, face powders or concealers

okay, first the things i WILL splurge on: lipstick, blush, and foundation. i feel like it's worth it for those.

I WILL NOT spend more than $6 on nail polish, and normally, i don't go over 3. thet're all just nail polish.

I will go a little high end with eyeshadows somethimes, just because I love MAC. But I usually won't spend too much on it. :]

Obviously mascara is mascara and i feel like the lashblast line does its job. Drugstore mascaras are amazing!

Black eyeliner. I will never spend more than $10 on it... heck, more than $5.

I've tried department store brands, and I always go back to the $0.99 drug store eyeliner.

I can't see myself ever splurging on mascaras, highlighters or even bronzers. I also don't think I've spent any more that £3/4 on nail polish before. Also, there's something about lipglosses that I can't imagine spending alot of money on. Lipsticks maybe but not glosses (for some reason).

Definitely lip products. I have a habit of always rubbing my lips together, which makes them dry and any lip product I have on comes off eventually and I'll have to reapply. Just isn't worth it to me. The only high-end eyeshadow I have is the UD Naked palette, so in general I'd like to say I don't splurge on eyeshadows either. I think drugstore products, especially Maybelline and NYX work phenomenally!

I agree with a lot of other people... mascara. I have found some higher end brands that have some great mascaras though.
