I used to use Revlon Colorstay - I would apply w/ a sponge but my results would come out grainy & odd. I didn't like it much.
I later got a basic foundation brush & I didn't like the feel of it on my skin - but the results were a lot better.
Years later, I now have better foundation application tools, but before I buy RCS again, I want to know the best ways to apply it.
Also, is there any way to lighten (weight wise, not color wise) the foundation? Have any of you mixed w. moisturizer?
ANY tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

a great way to lighten it and make it go on better is to get a beauty blender sponge. you dampen it with water and it creates a very natural smooth look.:)

Hi... I really love this foundation (best I have ever used). I use a brush instead of a sponge, I have the sigma F60 foundation brush, and it works the best for me!!

Oh, and I usually use with my MAC tinted moisturizer, and when I use the foundation, I usually don't need to use concealer!

I have that same foundation. To be honest, I usually apply with my fingers. Not only does it go faster but the heat from my skin melts the foundation slightly so it blends better. Also, I don't apply it to my entire face. I some how managed to get my EXACT colour so I usually just put a little over red spots and I'm good to go. It's perfect because I can use exactly how much I need to/feel like. It's never felt heavy on me.

I would have to agree with Kelsea M, fingers are the best makeup " tool " that you will ever have. You will find that you won't need to apply as much product as you would if you were using a sponge or a makeup brush :)

I spray my face and brush down with MAC Fix+ so the foundation thins down ever so slightly. The extra moisture on my face buys me more time to push the product into my skin without it drying out and setting too quickly. I use a flat top kabuki from Sigma, the F80.

I definitely use a stippling brush, like the MAC 187 or 188. I put it on the back of my hand and put the brush on the product and dot it first on my cheeks, forehead, and chin. Then, I blend it as best as I can with the brush and finish blending with either my fingers or a sponge.

I have been using Revlon Colorstay for two years and I LOVE it. I apply and blend with my finger tips.

Thanks everybody! I tried using my fingers a while years ago & it looked terrible. I must have been doing something wrong - I'm definitely going to repurchase this soon! :D
