You probably want to find a luggage (train case) to bring. DONT bring it as a carry-on. You will have to throw like all of it away, because you can only have things like less than 2 oz. i think. it sucks. and yeah, i bring brushes. Simple things, nothing to crazy. Foundation, eyeliner, mascera, things like that. :)

About the airplane thing, it depends how long the plane ride is really. When I fly to America it's like a 14 hour plane ride, so I always take some makeup wipes and foundation to completely redo my face makeup at the airport before I "face the world" lol.

Definitely do not bring liquids in your carryon! When I fly with any liquid products, even if they're in my undercarriage luggage, I pack each one in a plastic baggie and then in my makeup bag(s), because the change in altitude and air pressure can sometimes make things go boom.
My airplane makeup? Probably my concealer, MSF natural, neutral shadow palette, some blush or bronzer, tinted lip balm and a travel sized mascara. Super simple, basic travelling face. If it's a long flight I'd definitely take some makeup wipes.

Can I take my shadows into the airplane? I'm afraid they'll break o.o

I always carry my makeup when I travel. I have a small traincase that I bring with me and it's always my carry on. I believe the restriction on liquids is 3oz or less. I just flew in May to Miami and didn't have any issues.
I normally bring one palette for eyeshadows and 1-2 blushes, 1-2 lipsticks/glosses and then 1 of everything else: foundation, powder, liner etc.

If your shadows aren't like glass or something then they should be fine lol... just tuck them in a little pocket in your purse or something. That's what I always do. :)

I like to bring a lot, since I like to have a lot of variety at my fingertips. It also helps that I've got most of my shadows in palettes so it does save a lot of space...
As for the idea of packing, this is what I usually do to make sure I stay within TSA guidelines and I do not risk losing ANY of my products to the garbage can when going through customs:
Carry-on: this is where I store all of my powder products that I am worried will crack. Eyeshadows, blushes, pressed powders, etc. They stay in my carry-on, wrapped securely in a ziplock bag, between a scarf in my purse or smaller travel bag. This way, I don't have to worry about any of my breakables being tossed around and cracked by airline employees. If they do crack, that's due to my own negligence, but doing this avoids that as much as possible.
Check-in: As much as I hate traveling with only HALF of my goodies, this is where I store all of my liquid products. Foundations, setting sprays, primers, lotions, sunscreens, hair products. I stick them all in a ziplock bag and layer them between towels and heavy jackets so they do not move around a lot, and there is something to cushion the blow and protect it from any rough-handling in transit.
If you insist of having some liquid items with you on the plane, depot them and add them to your carry-on in a travel sized container that complies with TSA guidelines. Hope this helps, and remember: if you want to be better safe than sorry, buy travel sized when possible. =)
