So I have started to hear a lot of people talk aabout not tanning, and avoiding the sun durring the summer as much as they can because of risks of skin caner. I have a couple problems though. Durring the summer I work at a marina in a very very sunny hot place. I am in the sun for a tremendous amount of time. I also tan extremely easily, and all of the sunscreens I have used either make my already extremely oily skin even more oily, or the sunscreen is gone within 20 minutes because I'm in the water or I get splashed. Any heavy duty sunscreens that won't make my oily skin worse and will actualy last? Thanks for reading I know this was very long!!

Idk any good ones (I try to avoid being in the sun altogether) but if you find one, just keep reapplying it throughout the day. Being a little oily beats getting sick or skin cancer possibilities. (:

Dove has a brilliant tanning cream. Instead of not having a chance of having a tan in the sun. Just put this product on and it will look as real as ever ;)

Try using a sports one that may help a bit with the water but still reapply ever 90 minutes.

Just use sunscreen and re apply throughout the day. Being out in the sun is healthy. It helps your body produce vitamin b. Skin cancer is a common cancer in women but as long as you use sunscreen you will be just fine. You can't avoid the sun the whole summer! What's the fun in that?

You don't really need to avoid it as much as you can, it's more just like people who use sunbeds on a very regular basis, I'd just suggest a high factor waterproof sunscreen, also if you tan easily you have a lower risk of skin cancer I think. Did a case study on it in high school but I can't really remember now lol.

Definitely use a high SPF sunscreen and reapply frequently. I like Coppertone Sport spray, it dries fast and isn't too oily like lotion sunscreens. Every single person is at risk for skin cancer with UV exposure, no matter what skin tone. Darker complected people have less risk than those with fair skin, but still not an excuse not to protect yourself. I've had skin cancer twice as a result of sun exposure and I have to go through a lot of tests every month to make sure I am still cancer-free. (I actually posted aabout all of it in a thread the other day.) If you want more information aabout protecting your skin, the Skin Cancer Foundation is a great resource: http://www.skincancer.org/

Just find one you like and reapply often through out the day or a sport one those tend to last longer! maybe you could wear a hat? I love that people are starting to really care aabout protecting themselves from skin cancer relatives on both sides of my family (white and mexican) have gotten skin cancer so its not just something pale girls need to worry aabout.

I think nuetrogena works really well. I work at a beach camp and I swear by the nuetrogena kids sunscreen! Might sound weird but I love it!!

I don't know if this will help but my brother gets burned easily so in the summer he puts on p20, you put it on in the morning, leave it to dry for 30 mins (I think) and it should last through out the day!

Regular sun will absolutely increase your risk of skin cancer. My best friend died of skin cancer at age 19. She had olive toned skin-- it's not just something fair skinned people have to worry about. She NEVER used a tanning bed. She camped and went swimming and four wheeling a lot. Her death could have been prevented by sunscreen. Wear sunscreen no matter what.
