have any of you heard of this new highlighter? it is a literal RAINBOW HIGHLIGHTER and tbh what's not cool about that?
a little background - it is made by a brand called Bitter Lace Beauty, sold on Etsy. They specialize in handmade cosmetics. this rainbow product is called the Rainbow Prism palette and it's currently sold out die to high demand. its $22USD. the single shades are $16USD. when applied to the skin, it creates a gradient that reflects different hues in the light. when blended together, it creates a silver shade.
What do you think? would you wear this? purchase it? I probably wouldn't but if I did, I'd probably use it for a kick ass eye-shadow. :) it is pretty cool, though.

Hahaha Pam I was just going to link you this, I knew you wouldlike it!!
I wouldn't purchase it either, not that I don't like viability find it crazy cool, but honestly I don't think I could pull it off - I have a hard time wearing normal highlighters haha!
But what a great topic R! Great conversation starter!

Isn't it so cool?
yes Sabrina! I love highlighters but have a feeling I definitely wouldn't pull this off. I'm glad you think so! I thought it was different and wanted to hear everyone's opinions.

I love this! I saw it advertised on Facebook a few days back! I'd buy it if it wasn't for the price!

God look at how my phone played around with what I was trying to write haha #newphoneproblems ;) what I was trying to say was "not that I don't like it, I actually finds it crazy cool!"
Renay what is your favorite color for highlighters? I been seeing a lot of these colored ones coming out, like peach, lilac, pink and blue (rainbow is a first!) They all look soo awesome but they scare me, I would be so scared that I would look like a teletubbie with a lilac strip on my face haha!

Hannah, I'm the same way. always looking at prices. hahaha I feel guilty when I spend on makeup.
Sabrina, I really like golden or champagne ifgl

Woops hit send too soon. anyways like I was saying, I like golden or champagne highlights personally. I have a very prominent yellow undertone so I feel this look best. lately I've been living Mac soft n gentle.
sailor Moon, I love your name :) I didn't even think of the inner corner highlight!! that'd be super pretty and would definitely make the eyes stand out.

This is so beautiful. I think I may need to purchase it!! Not that I would have the guts to wear it as a highlighter, lol.

I first saw this on Facebook and I was freaking out about it, lol. The more I looked at it though the more I knew I wouldn't ever actually use it. While it is beautiful and unique I think it's more of a collector's item rather than an actual useable product.

I would totally use this on my daughter.

I've seen this all over Instagram. While it's really pretty and unique, I'd never use it. Even swirled together, I think the silver looks like a dull gray. It could be pretty cool eyeshadow :)

Interesting concept... would never use it... maybe as an eyeshadow??

This is so cool! While I'd love to say I would totally use it, I probably wouldn't lol. It is gorgeous to look at though :)

I think this is awesome! If it was cheaper I would buy it, sure. Now how often would I rock it? No clue!!
If I could customize it, I'll have top to bottom (Champagne, pink, a golden pink, and than gold)

I'm going to a festival in August so I might have to get it for that:D.

Wow gorgeous although I would not use it on my cheeks...I could see using it as a eye shadow... very shimmery and pretty.

Colours look pretty, like everyone else I'd use it as an eyeshadow instead of highlighting my face

Jkissa just did a video on it. I think it's beautiful but I really don't think anyone can pull every single color off. Maybe a cute festival look or pride parades, but it'd definitely be hard to pull off all the colors. Even Jkissa looked good in most of the colors but the blue and yellow made her look a bit sickly with the very casual makeup she had on, even blended in with the other colors.
I will still order it when I can, just because I do a lot of friends makeup during pride week in June and it'd be easier than having to have singles of all the colors lol.

Color is the attraction which get's us all the time. I love a glow but even this is a bit to far, it's really just pressed pigments and if anything all you would have to do is get all those shades you may have already and scrape some into individual little bowls and add a tiny spritz of mixing medium Bam! Press all shades down and swipe away. Color of the rainbow cute but not sold on this gimmick. Lol make your own. :)
I did see this before and my thought
was why her cheek looked so puffy.

Alma, I just showed this to my aunt and she goes "let me ask you something, why is her cheek so puffy?" Lol!
Also, I watched Jkissa and Grav3yardgirl/Bunny's videos on this highlighter and it's not as pigmented as it shows in the picture. Both videos show that you really need to layer it on to get that look from it and it looked like it kicked up a lot of powder from Bunny's video

This looks very fun for a festival!! I would wear it for fun, not as a regular highlighter!
