Hello everyone! I'm new here so I apologize in advance if I didn't post under the correct category. My question is how do you ladies & gents deep clean your makeup brushes? I have used the real techniques gel cleanser & although it seems to work well I still don't feel it cleans my brushes as much as I'd like. Today I purchased baby shampoo and tried using that with a clean sponge. I love the sponge idea (I found that technique on YouTube) however I don't know that the baby shampoo did the trick. I feel as tho maybe I am just not doing it properly. I'd love to hear how you deep clean your brushes! Thank you for taking time to share ideas with me!

I use a bar of black soap since it had the dreads or whatever those thins are inside of the soap I feel like it helps scrub my brushes and really gets them clean. I don't recommend this but I let one of my makeup brushes in a pocket of my scrub top and it went through the washer and the dryer! 😭 luckily it wasn't an expensive brush but anyway it was so clean!

Thank you all for responding! Jacqueline thank you for taking the time to thoroughly explain why you like LBC solid brush shampoo. I have heard of several different methods and there is so much out there advertising how great of a product it is until you get it home & realize it doesn't do the trick! Thank you all again for taking time to help me! I feel as tho I am always learning new tips & tricks with makeup and the same thing goes for cleaning my brushes.
