Congrats. I too am pregnant 23 weeks (: Not sure if true but I've been tood and just in case avoid these things: No tattoos, no getting my nails done, no tanning beds, no dying your hair, no excesive excercise, no heavy lifting are a few :)

I just had my son 2 months ago! congrats!! but you want to avoid anything with retinol, yes you can dye your hair, but your skin will change during pregnancy. if you're oily normally you might be dry, etc. there's an awesome pregnancy safe line called Belli, and they have all kinds of awesome skincare stuff!

I have two kids, I dyed my hair every 4 weeks as usual with both kids. Just realize that your hair, skin, nails may change throughout pregnancy and that your results may not be the same. Obviously avoid processed meats that may contain the listeria bacteria (deli meats, hot, dogs, etc...), alcohol, smoking, chemical exposure, etc... I highly recommend getting yourself a book on pregnancy. Most of all Congrats!

Congrats! I just wanted to add that if you want to paint your nails you can, just make sure it is 5 free. I highly recommend Zoya, they are certified pregnancy safe, and overall amazing polishes. Also make sure that you paint your nails in a well ventilated room.

Congratulations Kim.. M 37 weeks pregnant (waiting to take my healthy bub in my arms.. excited and nervous both)..
I avoided retinol and vit A products all throughout my pregnancy. Zoya is a safe brand to use for nail paints. Can't say anything about hair dyes coz have never used hair dye.
As said by beauties above your skin undergoes a lot of changes during pregnancy. Mine was glowy and healthy during first and second trim then it has become dry in last trim. Initially I used coconut oil mixed with vit e oil for preventing stretch marks. Then I switched to bio oil from 5th month onwards and still got them on my upper thighs(huhhh.. couldn't defy genetics. My mum has them).
I also had few zits when I had hit second trim but they stopped when I has hit third trim. Also I stopped using my night cream as it started making my t zone very oily so I switched to almond oil at night which helped me a lot.
Most importantly keep yourself hydrated from within, that's the best you can do for your skin :)

Forgot to mention one thing.. From past 3-4 days I have developed itchy palms and soles. apart from oral medication I have been using aloe Vera gel (kept it in refrigerator) it has helped me a bit. Enjoy the phase :)

Awe congrats hun, I've had 3 kids and pretty much just avoided excess caffeine as I am a coffee junkie, also during my 2nd pregnancy I was craving tuna fish excessively and the dr told me not to eat to much something about to much mercury when pregnant, even though it's fine to eat when nursing. My 1st and 2nd pregnancies I did not color my hair because I was a bleach blonde for a very long time so I looked crazy with hair down to my butt half bleach blonde and half dark brown haha old skool ombre. By the time I had my 3rd pregnancy I was a bit grey so I had to color due to my job but it was perfectly fine plus I was a much more dark golden brown by then. It's been awhile for me my baby is 11 but best to just talk your drs ear off that's what they are there for (:
